Sitcky's Food Diary - making this week count

    Recently I've been a bit pants when it comes to my food diary and often don't finish it now, though I start one every Wednesday without fail :)

    As you know, before this weeks WI I was having a bad time with losses - with my weight hovering for weeks.

    I think I may not be eating enough these days so thought I'd get this going and see what I learn...

    Wednesday - GREEN DAY

    Breakfast:
    2 x white nimble (toasted) HEB1
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1 syn
    Cup of coffee (HEA1)

    Snack: Plum

    Lunch:
    Jacket potato
    28g grated cheese (HEA2)
    Baked beans
    4 tsp Flora Extra Light = 2 syns

    Snack: Apple x2 (just had another after reading Mrs V's post :) )

    Planned dinner #1 (4.30pm)
    2 SW fried eggs
    2 wholemeal WW bread - toasted (HEB2)
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1 syn
    Cranberry HiFi Bar = 6 syns

    Dinner # 2- 7pm
    Mushroom and chicken pasta and sauce using rest of HEA1 and 1syn of FLora Extra Light
    Hot NAS vimto

    Drinks: Water all day (other than coffee first thing) and 2 pints of NAS Vimto

    Total syns: 11

    What are you having for your tea?? How about some more fruit and a yoghurt too????

    I was planning on two mini dinners; scrambled eggs with toast at 4.30 when I get home, and then a pasta dish from the Green Book at about 7pm.

    I'm finding I have a small appetite of late so having to eat smaller meals, but struggling to eat in between. My doctor said to drop to 5 pieces of fruit a day (I used to eat well more) because of IBS and eat more fibre.

    I'm finding it hard :-( I used to eat stacks on the plan and I can barely face things at the mo. My 'strict week' last week was pretty easy which is why I started this...it was a warning alarm!

    But you're right. I should compensate with yoghurts or something through the day now I can't eat as much fruit. I'll make an effort to up food intake.

    Do you think the tablets I'm on from doctors may be supressing appetite? I'll google them when I get back later.

    Thursday: GREEN - planned day so far

    6.30am
    2 slices of toast (white nimble HEB1)
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1 syn
    Glass NAS vimto

    7.15am Coffee (HEA1, dash of)

    8.00am
    Muller light
    Apple

    9.30am: piece of fruit

    11.30am - lunch
    Jacket potato
    5 laughing cow light triangles (HEA2)

    1pm Muller light

    Evening:
    Went to the cinema and lost control. Had a chicken burger and fries for 'dinner', followed by a double caramel magnum and a handful of pick and mix (the choccy kinds). Felt sick as a result which I wholey deserveand glad I did because it reminded me that I can't handle pig outs anymore and that it really aint worth it! First 'off day' for a while and not going to keep it up either. Back on track today :)

    Total syns: Unknown but hideously high no doubt

    Friday - planned food diary: RED

    6.30am:
    2 wholemeal Nimble (toast) HEB1
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1syn

    7.30am:
    Coffee (HEA1)
    Muller light

    9.30am:
    Orange x2

    11.30am (lunch):
    boiled egg, tomato, cucumber, beetroot and red onion salad
    Strawberries

    2pm:
    Piece of fruit or muller light

    4.30pm:
    HiFi bar (HEB2) (supermarket trip snack)

    Dinner:
    Grilled salmon steak
    Carrots
    Brocolli

    Evening snacks:
    Honey dew melon chunks
    Alpen light bar = 3 syns

    Drinks
    NAS Vimto and plain water

    **need to have something else with syn value to make up to over 5 - will update later**

    Well last weeks diaries came to grinding halt. I was on plan though and used paper diaries, but must try harder to log it all here this week! :D

    Also going to up food intake too - especially breakfast.

    Wednesday - GREEN DAY

    Breakfast
    1 x wholemeal Nimble (toasted) HEB1 (1/2 of)
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light (FEL) = 1 syn
    1 x Mullerlight yoghurt
    1 x banana
    Cup of green tea

    Lunch
    Jacket potato
    56g cheese HEA x 2
    4 tsp FEL = 2 syns


    Snacks at work
    2 x plums
    1 x mullerlight

    Dinner
    Cauliflower curry (new mag)
    Boiled rice

    Drinks
    Green tea with jasmine
    Water

    Exercise
    20minutes X-trainor - DONE
    20minutes treadmill - DONE
    10minutes bike - DONE
    200 sit ups (tummy muscles allowing) - Erm....NOT DONE! LOL

    Still need to decide on snacks for at home and to use some syns :D

    Thursday 7th Jan

    Breakfast (6.30am):

    2 white nimble HEB1
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1 SYN
    1 fried egg (fried in fry light)
    2 rashers bacon with fat removed (before cooking)

    Snack (10.15am) Muller light

    Lunch (11.45am):

    Tuna and tomato salad (massive one - 2 cans tuna and 6 large tomatoes)
    2 tblsp light mayo = 4 syns

    Dinner (5.30pm)

    2 roast chicken breast, no skin (ended up having to go to the city and was starving so grabbed pre-cooked skinless breast from Asda :( )

    Snacks

    2 slices of toast (white nimble) HEB2
    2 tsp Flora extra light = 1 syn
    tblsp tomato ketchup 1 syn
    Drinks = water and NAS vimto
    1 bag French Fries = 4 syns

    Moment of madness: Pizza slice 13 syns

    Total days syns: 24 syns :(

    Friday 8th January - got to limit syns to no more than 6 due to pizza slice last night

    Breakfast (6.30)

    2 white nimble HEB1
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1 syn
    1 tbsp ketchup = 1 syn

    Lunch:
    3 weetabix (2 HEB2, 1 synned) = 3.5 syns
    Semi skimmed milk - HEA1
    1 x Muller Light
    1 x tangerine

    Snacks:

    Muller light
    Apples (2)
    Tangerines (2)

    Dinner:

    King prawns fried in fry light with garlic
    Tomato, cucumber and spinach salad
    Laughing cow light triangles (HEA2)

    Didn't get around to filling this in over the weekend, but did keep a paper diary at home, by the fridge, so I didn't miss anything :)

    Today:

    Breakfast:
    2 x white nimble toased HEB1
    2 tsp Flora Extra Light = 1 syn
    (wanted to have a fried egg sarny but didn't have time to get it together this morning - pfft)

    Snack:
    Apple
    Muller light

    Lunch:
    Stuffed tomatoes (recipe from red book) - three beef tomatoes, with tuna (i can in brine), spring onions, mushrooms, gerkin, onion and fromage frais and worcester sauce.
    1 bag of French Fries crisps = 4 syns

    Snack:
    Tangerine
    Banana

    Dinner:
    SW 'fry up'
    2 WW sausages = 1 syn
    2 rashers bacon, fat off
    2 fried eggs, frylight (to compensate for none this morning)
    Fry light fried mushrooms
    Canned tomatoes
    2 white nimble HEB2

    Just need to find somewhere to slot in my HEAs - meant to bring some grated mozarella for with lunch but forgot. Might just eat it later when home lol x

    I can only usually have 3 pieces of fruit now because of my IBS - so the three listed are my limit today (apples are worst for me but so tasty).

    Lunch has a load of veggies in: three massive beef tomatoes, spring onions, gerkins, (added onion and mushrooms to the recipe) all mixed with fromage frais.

    But you're right...should probably have more at dinner. I'll make some tomatoes and mushrooms with the fry up. And I'll have some carrot sticks too.

    There you go Hun, there is always a way to adapt to the plan, even with things like diabetes, IBS or like in may case a band!

    Eugh feel sick today. Dunno why but woke up and feel ickly. Had some toast for breakfast and that was a struggle. Brought lunch in as planned and hope I feel less sick later

    Breakfast:
    2 toast HEB1
    2 tsp FEL = 1 syn

    Snack:
    Muller light
    Banana
    Orange

    Lunch:
    King prawn salad (toms, cucumber, spinach, gerkin, 5 LC light triangles HEA1)

    Snack;

    Hartley's jelly = 1/2 syn

    Dinner: Not yet decided.

    ***after a small weight loss this week, trying 5 smaller main meals with more snacking. Going to bring in more fruit etc again though if IBS plays up might struggle with that***

    Wednesday 13th Jan - Green

    Breakfast 1:
    2 slices Nimble white HEB1
    2 tsp Flore extra light = 1syn
    Orange

    Breakfast 2:
    1/2 melon

    Snacks - am:
    Apple

    Lunch:
    Salad box - massive one that can eat in two bits (11.30am and 1pm ish):
    Cherry tomatoes
    Vine tomatoes
    Cucumber
    Gerkins
    Spring onions
    Spinach leaves
    Lettuce
    Watercress
    Balsamic vinegar

    Mullerlight

    Dinner 1
    2 slices nimble HEB2
    5 LC light triangles spread over toast - HEA1

    Dinner 2
    Pasta dish from green book - stuffed pasta shells = 1 syn. Smallish dish of (will add detail of filling later) - HEA2 for cheese
    Melon slices

    Snacks - pm (work and home)
    Apple x2
    Banana
    Hartley's Jelly - 1/2 syn
    Bag French Fries = 4 syns

    Total syns = 5.5 syns
