Yeah, you heard right.... I said CRISPS!!

    You will need:

    • Lasagne sheets (Supermarket's own brand work best)
    • Frylight
    • Salt
    Preheat the oven to 200degrees

Boil the lasagne until it is all floppy.

Flop it out of the pan, and cut into squares.

Lie the pasta on a clean teatowel to dry it a bit.

Spray a baking sheet with frylight, place the "crisps" onto the sheet, spray with more frylight and sprinkle with salt.

Bake until the "crisps" snap when you bend them.

NOTE: You can try other flavours like sprinkling chilli powder over them, or stock powder. Try dipping them into 1tbspn of Heinz Tomato Ketchup (1syn) or some home-made veggie salsa (free!)

Enjoyyy - they are SO BLOODY GOOD!

I don't really like the sound of the pasta crisps but the potatoe ones sound good. I may try them tomorrow.

I count them as free. They're such a hassle to make that I hardly ever have them. The pasta ones are also very filling and great with alcohol!

Mmmm - I would say, count them as free but only have them occasionally as a treat.

    Ahhh another debate lol

This is like me and the orange (as I used to juice as cant eat the fruit too well with stomach complaint) but when juiced it has syns....

I was reading about pork ... if grilled 0 syns but if done in the oven... 1.5 syns.... I know this is worked out by the powers above lol.... but I also dry fry/oven etc and is done on a none stick backing sheet and always cooked to a crisp as that is how I love it... but still a syn....

Well I don't count the syn on things like that now... as it is still healthier than eating proper crisps chocolate and meat dripping in oil or fat.... so that was my halfpennyworth lol (Dont bite my head off just how I feel and think and I am still loosing weight... as sw say... anything within moderation!! after this program is about reestablishing our eating habits for life... if it were for only weight loss then as soon as we started to eat normally again... ie a little of what you fancy etc you would pile it all back on again wouldn't we.)L:):)

    Q,
when you say.... That free foods used for something else have to be synned...does this mean if i use potatos to make what i thought was syn free crips using the microwave crisp maker....theyre not??

    A,
No they're not syn-free. However, syn them and they're only 3½ syns for 28gms which should make quite a few crisps (far fewer than a bag of crisps).
I'm a big believer in moderation in all things, so a few of anything like this is not going to have much effect on your weight, it's when you get to making loads of them and eating them in preference to 'proper' food that the problems begin.

Our consultant said the crisp are ok to have every so often, and count them as free, but i think if people eat them too much, that's when it starts effecting your weight. So i think it's just a case of having them in moderation!;)

I think its another one of those foods that you need to trial for yourself....I used to have these crisps a few years ago when I followed all green days and they never affected my losses.
I can understand totally where the syns come from though...if I was to eat a 300g jacket spud with beans and cheese(HE A), I would be satisfied, however, if I were to eat a 300g potato made into crisps, I would probably (most definitely) be rooting in the cupboards 10 minutes later looking for more food!!

Treats, about the pork? Pork is free regardless of how you cook it. Perhaps they are assuming we would be cooking it in some kind of oil/fat?
