The best thing you can do in a slow cooker is a "roast" chicken. Keeps everything juicy and leaves the house smelling amazing. Also love doing a chilli or curry in there too.

Marybobs I cook everything in a slow cooker. Roasts, currys, hotpots, pulled pork, chinese keep liquids to a minimum as it often doubles, I thicken sauces using knorr, tomato paste or mushy peas if it gets too runny. Just experiment and you will soon master it. Enjoy. X

I just put the chicken breast side down on top of onions. I also do the one pot roast with potatoes parsnips and carrots too. No need to add any oils maybe a bit of lemon juice or syn a small glass of wine between the family if you want a bit of extra flavour. X

I'm going to slow cooker a whole chicken tomorrow with roasted butternut squash and carrots. Mmmm, can't wait!
