Slow roasted Chinese beef

Have some in the oven cooking now smells great. Might have with stir fried spinach and courgettes from the garden and rice
 
I left it out as didnt have any in. I'm making this again tomorrow with beef.
 
As soon as I can chew again, I'll be making this, it looks devine! And I love my chinese!
 
I know what we are having for dinner tonight now . I have all the ingredients in. And I thought I was having fish lol.

I too would always leave out the sugar. I cooked it tonight with just 2 teaspoonful of sugar and it was still sweet .I think without will be great.

The smell is amazing the whole house smelt wonderful.

I didn't have a chilli so put a tsp. of garam masala in it.

We had it with very finely sliced white cabbage stir-fried with fry light stir fry. I had my new potato allowance and Paul had rice.

It was absolutely scrummy..........thanks again.
 
This looks amazing! Going to try making it tonight, do you know if it's possible to use chicken? The only beef I've got is minute steak.

Also, are the syns the same for using white sugar? Thanks!
