Some of u know I'm preggars & mil wanted nothing to do with the baby. Just found out she's bought bundles of baby GIRLS clothes of ebay. I don't even know what sex I'm having. When I had our son she wanted nothing to do with him as it was a boy. She always wanted a girl of her own. I'm just so angry about it if I do have a girl it'll be a nightmare.
What would u do if anything?

Thats a really hard one.I'm torn just listening to you.Does she accept your son now?If she doesn't and the baby is a agirl that could cause problems as well. She needs to realise that what she wants is not important.-its the children who are important and its not down to her to mess with their heads. I hope oh is supporting you-if hes like mine then I get told to ignire everything cos shes getting on a bit.I think I 'd put up with it and bite my tongue for now to see if this info is right and how she is reacting to any news. You really don't need this when your pregnant-it can be a rollerecoaster anyway. We are here if you need to sound off at us instead of her.I really hope it gets easier for youand the baby is fine. Hugs on their way through cyberspace xx

I think theres a big risk here of if it is a girl that she will pay attention to her and still ignore your son. That would be really hard for your son to deal with and really unfair on you. It will also cause resentment from your son to your daughter (speaking personally between me and my brother here!)

If i were you i would explain to her that even if you do have a girl she will have to treat both children equally. Either love them both the same or go away! Sorry if im speaking out of turn, its really unfair on u hun and im livid for you.

Lots and lots of hugs coming your way xxxx

She's being a right b*tch, can't believe she's being so premature buying girls clothes (old fashioned pinafores/frilly things)

The thing is when we told her i was having no.2 she went mad & wouldn't speak 2 us, talked about termination etc that's why I'm so annoyed.

Luckily my son will be under 2 when new baby arrives so gonna make sure he's really involved etc whether it be a boy/girl x

Thanks Pesty & wow on the 6lb loss x

When you say that you found out what she had done - did she tell you? Does she know that you know?

If not, then I would just ignore it. Pretend you know nothing about it. If the clothes are produced at a later stage say you don't want them.

If she does know that you know, then perhaps you should just say now that you are not going to accept them and she may just as well put them back on eBay.

Don't have an argument, just say clearly and firmly that you are not accepting clothes, advice, or anything else from someone who told you to get rid of your child. Don't upset yourself, that is not good for you, but be firm.
