I'm afraid it's a nono for both of those. Have you tried sparkling mineral water?

Do you know why it's a no no? Just carbonated water really?

It's more than carbonated water. Sparkling water is carbonated water. Tonic and soda water usually have sweeteners, extra salts in the form of potassium etc. The potassium can cause water retention which can be demotivating. The sweeteners can interfere with ketosis. Sure there's other reasons too, but it's recommended that you stay off them

Sparkling mineral water is allowed though as it's just carbonated water :)
