steak

Do you mean which cut of steak?

It will all depend on your budget. A fillet steak is always the most expensive cut in the supermarket, personally I think it is the nicest cut too. But I never pay for a fillet steak. I tend to stick to rib eye or even rump. I find Sirloin to have a tendency to be gristly or fatty. I think rump, for the price, can be just as nice as Sirloin.

I think the best thing to do is to just check out the meat when your there. Choose the one which has the least gristle or fat running through it.

thanks, yea meant cut, wasnt sure if rump or rib eye was free thanks for that tho

It's all free. So long as all fat is removed before cooking.

for someone who the thought of gristle or fat makes me retch.. would you say rump is best for them??

Fillet would be better if you really hate fat. It's lean, but alot more expensive. Tatses lovely though!

I've only ever had fillet once! (at OH's 60th last year) It was melt in the mouth despite being far rarer than I normally eat. My eldest son likes it rare enough to call the vet!!!!!!!!
