My Dad is seriously ill in hospital in Glasgow so I am helping to care for him. Have been here for a month. Typing this in the public library!
Very, very worrying time and the outcome uncertain but he's a fighter. My bro is very sick at the moment, too, so it's stressful. Add to the fact that my cousin here who helps Dad a lot is currently in Holland... I am isolated but otherwise okay and visiting Dad twice daily.
Would be great to be back home in happier circumstances but it is nice to hear the Scots voices around me. Such warmth.
I am doing more or less regular OWL Atkins here to shift a bit of surplus I regained when I first arrived. With Atkins my raging appetite is subdued. Weight loss is slow and stalls a pain but on the whole this is the best 'diet' and maintenance plan around.
