Not a clue, I've not gone over my 1200 calories at all, only gone over 1100 the once! I've not overdone it on salt as far as I can tell. Ankles are looking ok so don't think its water weight although i'm past the midway point so it could be starting to build...its nothing I've done so there is nothing I can do about it. I might do a day or 2 of 1500 calories to kickstart my metabolism like I did a few weeks ago. I'm chilled about it at the moment...doubt I will be if its the same next week tho!

Thank you :) my motivation was beginning to drag a bit, but this has bolstered me.

I really do think upping your calories for a few days might help. I remember learning about stasis in the human body at school, and the fact that the body is always trying to stay the same. When applied to weight loss, having the same number of calories each day for a prolonged period could mean your body adapts to fuelling itself off this specific amount of energy, which might make your losses stop. So, science-y bit over, try mixing it up for a few days to 'confuse' your body. You've done so well anyway; losing weight is such a rollcoaster ride. Keep at it :) xx
 
I've put on 1.75lbs this week, which, although absolutely not good, was actually a lot less than I thought I'd gained.
Started my new job on Monday which has totally messed up my routine and I've been buying bacon barms and lunch most days from the works canteen. So even though I've gained I'm actually quite pleased with that only being a small number :D
 
lol elb i love your positive attitude :) changing your routine can be a deal breaker but it was minor in your case.. good job.. and good luck for next week !

sorry to hear about your sts Cat :( think it could be the treatment ? unfortunately we're all going to be in this spot one time or another during our weight loss journey.. but you've got the right attitude.. don't let it get to you and hope for a good week next week :) you're doing awesome so far, don't take that away from yourself.

i'm down 5lbs :D i added aquatic exercises to my routine this week.. love it !

Thanks Letty & Syren. I know my loss so far has been pretty good, Looking at the big picture I'm down 28lbs in 13 weeks, looking at the little picture 22lbs of that was lost in 8 weeks!

Had some biscuits today...not had ANY in 13 weeks so have really enjoyed them and I can still pull off coming in under 1200 if I want to but I think I am going to have a couple of days at the higher calories, make them cleaner calories from now tho lol. Not taken my measurements this week, clothes dont feel any different tho so I doubt it.

I don't think pulmonary rehab will have contributed to not losing, its only an hour mixed exercise and an hours "chat" - some plum voiced patient tends to take up most of this time asking the same questions every Tuesday and Friday because we have a different specialist come in each time so he thinks he'll get different answers. If I hear the same questions again on Tuesday I think I'll shove his plums in his gob to shut him up! I'm not violent, honestly but he is beginning to wind me up big time, perhaps I should find a rant thread and get it out my system lol! But back to my slowed and stalled weight loss, may be I have hit an early plateau, I'll mix it up a bit, worked for me before so I'll try it again, be nice to get a good loss just before Christmas or I can see me having chicken breast with salad for christmas dinner!


Talking of which what is everyones plans for christmas fayre? I only plan on having the one day off, Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and then straight back on plan. Just gotta steer clear of the quality street and cheese and pickles!

Yep exactly the same for me, christmas dinner with all the trimmings then straight back on plan. No sitting round stuffing chocolate and cheese and wine this year!
 
Plans for Christmas are to have Christmas Day and Boxing day off from this. I'll still stick to healthier choices, but will give myself a break if I indulge a bit too much! Probably do the same on New Years Eve too :)
 
no christmas off for me :( i have to be really strict with myself.. i have a tendency to lose motivation into the new year so i have to keep it going.. i'm hoping all of you will help me with that !! :)
 
Gained 1.5lbs this week :( I knew I was going to have a gain, because my eating has been rubbish this week!

Back on track today though :)

Another bloomin STS...this is wearing thin, seriously thin. I saw my sister yesterday (its a once a year thing), she makes the best quiches in the whole world (REALLY) and I said no to one because I'm being good....and I still get a freaking static!!! I'm not happy, I refuse to live on 1100 calories to simply maintain!
 
I went to a party on Saturday night and I was in no fit state to weigh in yesterday morning, so going by Saturday's weight I've gained 5lb! Never mind :) I'm back on the wagon today now my cold has nearly gone.

Another STS CatCrazy? :( I'm sorry. Maybe you could really up your calories for a few days? You may gain a bit but as soon as you drop them down again your metabolism should be revved up enough for you to start losing?

It was a really good night, a housewarming/Christmas party, saw loads of old faces, met some new ones (including a nice bloke!) and got horrendously drunk! Fantastic!

Maybe a week off is the key, something to break up the low calorie intake your body seems to have got used to. Better luck for both of us this week!
 
3rd static in a row but its TOTM so was expected....I said I was hopeful for next week in another post but just realised Christmas dinner is the day before weigh in...HA no hope!

Well its not Sunday but I stepped on scales this morning and I've FINALLY broken thru the static! 3lbs down...YAY!!!!! Thats in 2 days so hopeful for more by Christmas
