You could add a few fresh tomatoes, or have the dhal with rice and have a salad on the side.
Dhal:
Frylight
1-2 onions
Garam Masala
Tumeric Powder
Chilli
(Coriander)
Salt
Garlic/Ginger
Lentils of your choice
Boil lentils (you can mix a few different ones if you wish) - add 1 tsp tumeric power and 1 1/2 tsp salt (can add more later if not enough) - bring to the boil and gently simmer until reduces and lentils cook
Chop onions or shallots - fry them in fry light until golden brown add 1 1/2 tsp garam masala, Garlic or Ginger (can add both) and green chillies (1-2). Add to the lentils and stir in. Sprinkle fresh chopped coriander on top when cooked.
