Team 14 - Scream if you wanna go faster! - Official Thread

Sounds like she is a bit confused! LOL. I'd trust KD - she seems to have a handle on things. I think it's 810 for the whole day though not just one meal! That'd be a good meal for 800 cals!

Yes still going to the gym. SO much better now I am eating some carbs. I'm amazed how much I actually like it! I always used to hate exercise but now I crave it when I can't do it. Very odd!

Wish I had the energy. Weighed myself this morning and no more off since Friday - in fact if I stand a certain way on the scales it looks like llb on :) I am smiling because it cannot possibly be - I hope.

I have lost 9lb less than in the first 6 weeks of the first time I did this, and 8lb less than the second. How weird - and frustrating - is that? I guess I am going to have to try some exercise - though to be honest, I think I did even less during those attempts than now.

Tried to copy in a wee table showing the weekly rates, but cannot get it to work - will try later.

Have a good week

Yes - by a couple of stones. However, in saying that, I am 5'9" and of a fairly big build and currently at 15 stones still have a way to go. Ideally I am looking at between 12 - 12.5 stones - I got to 13.5 last time - hence the other stone I talked about. I tried to paste in the tables from my spreadsheet showing the differences and will try again when I get home - actually I will email it, that would be easier.

I was thinking of asking to see if there is anyone else out there in the same situation as it would be interesting to see comparisons.

One good thing about it is that it underlines that I NEED to keep this off this time.

Nelli

What interesting in your email though is that you are pretty much losing 4 pounds a week!!! That's amazing you know...

Yes you are losing a little bit less every time (as you say a very good reason to keep it off) but you are still losing loads! Man I'd kill for those stats.

At that rate I'd lose ALL my weight in 36 weeks/9 months...rather than the 5 years so far...

Hi Irene
There are only the two of us now chatting back and forth - I haven't seen any of the others who were part of the team posting for a long time now.
The babies are lovely.

Hi Claire
I know - I am just so impatient and I shouldn't be.
I found an interesting thread from KD earlier on tonight which she talks about maintaining and answers questions. Haven't had time to read through it all, but I do intend to - in detail.

Hi Irene
Coley is doing calorie counting for a while so maybe just chat. I am on another thread where I am keeping track with some girls though we are not organised into a team.

Hi Claire
I think my scales are kaput. I weighed myself this morning and, when I first got on, I was half a stone more than yesterday morning - got off, tried again and I was then down to being up by 1lb from yesterday - which effectively means +2 from the day before ??. This would mean I am the same weight exactly as last Tuesday and only 3 down over a fortnight. Considering I ate 5 mushrooms on Saturday - and apart from that was 100% ss for the two weeks. Surely that cannot be right.

Went wailing to J who said these scales haven't been good for a while !!!!! and - wait for it - I thought you were taking your weight from the CDC and I (as in he) am a good half stone heavier on these than I am at the gym.

I don't get weighed by my CDC. She asked me if I preferred to weigh myself and thinking of the "first thing in the morning, stark naked without even earrings" principle, I said yes.

Anyway - assuming that if they were weighing incorrectly, but not totally broken - I have hopefully lost what I think I have in pounds, but I am now scared about what weight I actually am. (I cannot even bring myself to think that I just may be a little less than I thought) Off to pick up some digital weight watchers ones from Argos this morning on the way to work.

If J weighs himself at the gym tonight, then weighs on the old scales and then on the new as soon as he comes home - I should be able to figure out a new (accurate) point of reference.

Hope you have a good day.

Nelli

Scales are different everywhere. My scales at home are lighter than at my CDCs. But the gym is 1/2 a stone lighter than my scales and so is the doctors. What's the real weight? Who knows! I think you just pick one you can trust and go with that.

I know Claire.
Got the new scale home and weighed. There is 4lbs of a difference - if I weigh myself by the window. However, I got three different weights - and by as much as 2 and 3/4lb by moving the scales around the bathroom floor ! (I discovered the first difference by accident when I moved the scale in case you are wondering if I am going stark crazy) I know the tiled floor isn't the most even (old house) but heavens ! I am so fed up - wish I could just stay off !

I am getting really down about it all.

Nelli

Are you 4 pounds up on the new scales? My CDC has her scales on a piece of wood. Maybe that'd help?

Why are you getting down?

I didn't explain that very well - it seems I was 4 more than I thought to begin with, I can deal with that. However, it does look like I am two higher than I was on Friday 12th - and that I cannot understand. I am not constipated, I am drinking loads of water - and apart from the mushrooms (oh heavens, how I regret those :) I haven't eaten a single solitary morsel other than my packs and bars. 2 or 3 packs a day depending on whether I am hungry or not and never more than one bar. I have even been moving about a bit more than usual - i.e. walking and heavy gardening) though still not exercising properly.
I will see what the rest of this week (and the new scales) bring.

It does just randomly happen sometimes. I always go up half way through the month. Always. Whatever I'm eating or not eating.

It can't be real weight. It just CAN'T be. Wait it out. It'll go.

Morning - hope it's a bit warmer where you are - frosty frosty here.

Thanks for your encouragement yesterday - I was totally freaking out over this. Before I had straight losses - some small but always off - really guess I should stay off the scales - but to make matters worse, now I am jumping from one set to the other.

According to both I am down by 4lbs this morning. It is bizarre with the new scale because if I move to the window, I am 4 down on what it said yesterday in that position - then if I move to near the door am still 4 down but on what it read there. ???? Think I will try a block of wood or something to level as your CDC does.

All in all that means 2 stones in six weeks and 2 days (10 and 9 days longer than before respectively).

Ideally, I would bin both sets of scales AND my spreadsheet and not get weighed again until week 12.

Have you watched Fat Families on tv? I always wonder if they have been sneaking on the scales or if they wait until the "showdown".

Have a good day.

Nelli

2 stone is six weeks is amazing! Am glad that 4 pounds went.

Super cold here too.

Yes have watched Fat Families. I can't believe they wouldn't peek.
