Well done Trisha for keeping 100%. Sadly, I haven't been so strict but have only eaten things that have kept me in ketosis. Still having problems getting all the water in. I'm really feeling the cold at the mo and am just scraping the minimum 2 1/4 litres.

Wez, I'm really cold as well and struggling today to get the water down, I've also got a banging headache.

Miss M - glad you're all feeling better
 
Miss M, I am still only forcing down the minimum 2 1/4 litres but having normal tea too (probably not helping but only 1 or 2 mugs).

Feeling really pants. Had a phone call at 7pm, my dad is in hospital in Majorca with shortness of breath. He suffers with severe heart disease & other issues. He flew out on Sunday with his partner and she has been great keeping me informed. He insists he doesn't want me to fly out and has been told by his insurance company that if he isn't fit to fly then they'll fund the hotel for them to stay until he is.
Now I REALLY want to emotionally eat. I am here alone, both girls are in bed and DH is at work till 10pm. Still have a shake left but that really doesn't hit it. Don't know what I'll do to distract myself when I know there is chocolate in the kitchen. Feeling so down at the moment.
 
oh Wez so sorry to hear your dad is unwell, try and stay strong, what about having a choc shake instead, or a bar if you have any. I know its not the same as chocolate but it might help.
 
Thanks Trisha but the need to eat was too great and I consumed great handfuls of nuts including honey roasted and slices of cheese. It helped.
Today is a new day and I've spoken to him, he is very dizzy on his feet and concerned the airline won't take him but his return isn't until Sunday so he has time.
I have had 1.5 litres of water so far and that is certainly a positive that I didn't fall far off the wagon. Hopefully things will be ok on the emotionally eating front now.
 
Ah wez, so sorry about your dad....i dont think any of us would have avoided the fridge either. Stress is the worse trigger. At least his partner is with him!....i bet your dying to get on a plane though!...hang in there! Glad to hear everyone is feeling better!!, Its been a touch couple of weeks for everyone!.....

Ive had a rubbish rubbish week so far.....my time of the month is on its way too.....which means i want to inhale everything, im starving 24 hours a day, and im in ketosis...it usually only lasts for a few days though.....i actually woke up biting my pillow this morning....(i was dreaming about cake again)....its so embarressing...wouldnt admit that to anyone except you guys!...ive been eating nuts and cheese and bits of quorn.....to try and fend of the hunger, so im guessing loss wont be that big this week.....

Its only wednesday though, we could all have a big push before the end of the week...im going to try!!!

Wez, having nuts and cheese isn't too bad and the water will have helped. I bet you feel better having spoken to him, and he has got time to recover before his flight home.

Naz my week has been okay but could have been better, I did intend to stick to ss/ss+ but have had a couple of 810 days as well and I to have had a nibble at cheese! I'm going to try and stick to ss+ now until wi which won't be until tues as cdc away.
 
Naz, I'm with you. SS 100% aiming for my wi on Monday. Feeling good right now as I've been to an exercise class for postnatal ladies and part of it was circuit training. Admittedly I am so unfit and at times thought I was going to die and felt like I was back at school for PE, which I was rubbish at. The trainer was fab and let us take things at our own pace as she gave personal encouragement. I didn't mind being lapped by the superfit mummies. Driving home, I had 1/2 litre of water and felt myself cooling down but the adrenalin continues. Glad I didn't feel faint or anything as then I knew I wouldn't be able to continue whilst on CD. But the knowledge of the fat burning has really lifted my mood.
Spoken to dad again this am, he has had to have a 2nd brain scan because they suspect an aneurysm. Really hope they are wrong. It is a terrible situation where I can't fly out with 2 kids at home and yet I so desperately want to see him. Thank goodness for mobiles so I can speak directly to him.
Trisha - will you have any wi results this weekend? Or are you going to wait until your official wi on Tuesday?
 
hi wez I'll do an unofficial wi on sat and post the result. Hope its good news about your dad, it must be making this week very hard for you.
I've not had a good day cd wise today, got in work and there was loads of cakes and crisps to eat (someones birthday) and I've been picking at them as I'm so fed up at work at the moment, and they were just there in front of me.

Went to the gym after work and spent 1 hour and the tredmill climber thing, and burnt 800 cals then went swimming for half and hour so hopefully will have repaired some of the damage, but will have knocked myself out of ketosis I expect. I will do better tomorrow!!
 
Well done for the exercise regime Trisha, it'll certainly help. The weather is so lovely here today that I decided before I'd got out of bed that I would go for a long walk with my baby after I'd dropped my daughter off at daycare. We were out for 50 mins and I have come back with quite a red face, hopefully I've burnt off fat too.
Having all the family home for 3 days will be challenging dietwise so I hope we go out lots so I can just carry my bar and water, I'll be able to cope then.
 
Morning. What a gorgeous day it is here, I hope it is with all of you too.
What I love about CD is not feeling hungry as I used to wake up really starving and now, at nearly 11, I am having breakfast. I've been drinking water but not had time to stop and eat. Routines so go out the window on the weekend and I've been so busy. Dad called earlier and wanted me to sort out a change in return flights as he is unlikely to fly tomorrow. Unfortunately it'll cost £400 for them both to change, which is horrid as the all-inclusive package was only £330 each. He is hoping the insurance will pay if he gets a letter from the doctor stating he is unable to fly.
Found out it is my BIL birthday today and so had to get a belated card which he won't get till Tues because of the bank holiday, feel bad about that and now need to organise an internet pressie.
We are meeting up with relatives later for afternoon tea, I'll stick to drinking and steer clear of biscuits and cakes. Hopefully I'll be distracted by feeding my baby. We are taking bubbles round, both dd and myself love them, we used to have a bubble machine but it seems to have seized up with rust. Probably get another one at some point.
Well here's to drinking lots of water and enjoying the sunshine!
 
Just managed to grab 5 minutes while my daughter is having a rest for revising. She's been using the comp/internet to do some spanish revision for her A levels.

sounds like you've got a busy weekend ahead. I spent the morning at the gym and called for a few bits of shopping. This afternoon I went looking where a school is where I've applied for a new job, its about 10 miles from home but is in a really nice area, problem is its on the way into Manchester so I expect in the rush hour traffic it might be a nightmare of a journey by car, but I've just checked train times etc and it is possible to get there by train, but have to change once so might be an option.

I've done an unofficial wi as cdc still away lost 0.5 lb :sigh: still after the last few days I'm not surprised!
 
Hi all, really gorgeous day here too!!, although im in the grips of full blown flu which hit me yesterday, so even been out of bed today, did my own WI this morning and i lost only 1lb....i might have to go off the diet for couple of days too until this goes...uurrggghh, wake me up when im well again, :-(

Trisha - I'm a teacher, are you? Have you already handed your resignation in? When is the closing date for the job? I always seem to carry loads of stuff back & forth so rely on my car for work.

I hope Miss M gets in contact with her wi, the only thing that worries me is we may not be back by the 6pm deadline. Could someone else do it if Miss M checks in please? Or submit the below if I haven't checked back by 5:45.

hi Wez , I'm a teaching assistant, so no need to carry loads of stuff back and forth I keep everything at school. The closing date was Friday and is for a job in a special school, which is something I really fancy and its more hours. I've not handed my notice in or anything like that because I've found that with TA jobs in schools its often "who you know", but I thought that if I don't try I definatley won't get it!
 
Good luck - special schools must be so rewarding and more channelled into the individual needs than mainstream.

It was such a lovely long weekend, we ended up in Bournemouth on Sunday and a great country park on Monday with loads for dd to do and the sun just kept on shining.

Wi for me was a loss of 2lbs. I need to have 3 or 4 lb losses so I can lose 3 stone and definately be back in work trousers for Sept. My cdc sais that it is difficult to lose weight properly when you are stressed even if you keep to the diet as your body wants to hang on in case. Hmm, made me feel better whether there is truth in it or not.
