Providing its not got citric acid in, it should be ok in small amounts

Thanks for the replys. I knew Malic acid was ok but this has the following ingredients:-

Carbonated Water,Barley Malt Extract , Fruit And Vegetable Concentrates (Apple, Carrot, Hibiscus) , Flavourings (Including Caffeine) ,Phosphoric Acid , Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K) , Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrate) ,TempText4

Never came accross Phosphoric acid before?? Never looked at what is in fizzy juice before all these types of acid are quite worring really, was looking for a change but i think i'll play it safe and stick to my coke zero.

Would sodium citrate not be a problem tho? I might be wrong tho

I have any diet drinks... Diet coke, sugar free squash, diet red bull, it doesn't effect me at all. Just sayin'. I really enjoy my squash and it feels a lot more varied when you can have a choice of drinks.

I don't think I'm the exception, I think there are people who don't dare to try anything else because the VLCD companies want to shift their water flavourings (even though some of them contain citric acid, as do some of the meals). It may be me being overly suspicious but I know a number of people other than me who have followed a ketogenic diet and drank anything diet/ sugar free/ low carb etc and remained in ketosis.
I'm NOT advocating everybody go out and drink anything they want- I do acknowledge that everybody is different and what works for me may not work for another- however I did want to share my opinion as I find that it makes the diet a lot easier, especially when socialising. Anyone ever found a bar that serves coke zero...?!

I'd be interested to know this too! Bought some coke zero today and it was nice and seemed to fill me up quite well. It is difficult drinking so much water along side it though, I've never wee'd so much in my life!!!

I agree with you saddlebag! It's so difficult finding something to drink down the pub. The only restaurant/pub I've been too which sells coke zero is Nando's, and that's because it's self serve on a pump!! I end up drinking mineral water if I go to the pub lol. Although admittedly I'm one of those people who are too scared to deviate from the plan, so I end up sticking to the water! Doh x

I find if I have any diet I'm hungry I guess for me it's because of the citric acid knocking me out I think I'm very sensitive though too it

I stick with coke zero as it fills me and it never makes me hungry tbh
