The answer to "How Many Calories Should I Eat?"

Hi,
I don't have enough posts to do a pm, but my info is:-
235lb, 5ft 8, would like to lose at least 2lb per week. I walk to work everyday (10 mins) and I am up and about at various points throughout the day, though not constantly moving everyday. I do at least 10 mins cleaning when I get home everyday. Myfitnesspal has given me 1270 per day before I input any walking etc.
i would like to lose a decent amount of weight before m birthday in August.
could you let me know my calories. Thanks

i would love some help regarding how many calories i should consume on a daily basis to lose weight. I am 5'8 and i weigh 215. I do Elliptical 4 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes each time. I also walk 2 miles every other day. My goal is to lose 50lbs.

Thank you for putting this up. I use my fitness pal for tracking my food and it says i should eat 2590 cals a day. ive always thought that was wrong but after doing the calculation and working out what to eat to lose 1lb a week, it comes up with 2788, so mfp is right. I've not been eating them all thinking its not, so hopefully if i do now i'll see some results :)
