The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly!

    The GOOD! I had arranged to spend the day with a vary vary good friend, she loves the kids and the kids love her ...anyways she was in her garden when I pulled up outside her house. I havent seen her for a while so it was going to be so much fun. Anyways ... I stepped out of the car and the first word out of her mouth was "skinnymalinks!" :8855: awww I love her very much.

    The BAD! I spent a couple hours with a different friend on Monday. Well I call her a friend but the truth of the matter is she has sometimes made me feel bad about my weight. The whole time I was with her she didn't once comment on my wieght loss which of course made me question wheather or not it is noticable. I dont know if she just didnt notice, and I am not looking for compliments but it would have been nice KWIM.

    My 13yo son said to me today after my friend called me that lovely name "well, you know who your friends are".

    The UGLY! I had the rug pulled out from under my feet this week. To be perfectly honest I was kind of hoping I could just wake up one morning and life would be normal again. My lovely 13yo son has just had tests for a suspected auto-immune disorder. We should get the results next Wednesday. My poor boy has been through the wars the last while, it wasnt that long ago he had a burst appendix and a kinked bowel, he just seems to have had a run of bad luck. Now ahead of him is physio and treatment, and more treatment if his tests come back positive.

    So not that I would associate this week with emotional eating far from it, but I havent had the strength to say no to a couple of social meals. I am not in ketosis. So my weight loss isnt a loss, I have stayed the same though I havent officially weighed in yet. I am hoping next week will be a better one.

    Some times life does deflect from CD/dieting. It's not a bad thing and you definatley did well as you never put on.

    I can totally sympathise with you, I've got a 'friend' who also has a weight problem I might add... who told me quite near the start of me doing CD that she'd heard people saying they didn't think I'd stick to it, and if I did I'd put the weight straight back on.... How nice!! SHe was doing LL at the time and I later found out that people weren't saying these things about me, it was about her!! And she proved them right, I haven't!

    Your true friends will make you feel fab no matter what, and the others...well they're just there aren't they? I hope your son is okay xx

    Humm what a time you have had. You have nearly lost 2 stone so i am sure you will be able to notice. The main thing tho is that you feel better in yourself! Your doing a great job hun, i hope your boy is ok i hope the results come back negative. <3 xxx

    aww thankyou girls. You are all great. I will find out whats going on with my son on wednesday I hope ... anyways ... I am doing okay. I ate some meals this past week and my weight was STS ... I am pleased as at least I didnt gain. Onwards and upwards!!!!!
