So I've just discovered biltong (real biltong not the supermarket stuff) and ive been looking for the syn value, however the only syns i can find are for the supermarket ones and they are by no means lean or low in sugar, now I've been treating the real stuff as syn free purely because it is lean dried meat, I've checked the recipe from the vendor and there is nothing in it to suggest syning is required.
Is this ok to do or should I really be syning it ?
