im up for this guys! based on the idea that i could lose 2lbs a week, and theres 19 weeks til 2012 (ish), that means i could lose 38lbs, so i'll round it up to 40lbs :D so a 2st 12lb loss leaving me at 13st 13lbs

Hello all

sorry for being missing in action... I have been admitted to hospital and had emergency surgery. I don't have much control over what I'm being fed (and need to eat what I'm given so I can get home!) Here's hoping I'll manage to stay within my WW pro points allowance! With a bit of luck I'll be able to weigh myself on Sunday. I hope to be back with you guys as soon as possible and hope that you are all doing well xxx

Just a quick post to say hello and sorry i've not been around this week, been a bit poorly but on the mend. I'll be weighing in tomorrow instead of today so fingers crossed for a loss (infact a maintain would be nice after a tough week). Hope everyone is well, and get well soon Sapi *hugs*

Definition of crazy? -me.

You know that same levle of determination that I had in my original post? As time has gone by, its just gotten stronger. Have spent the last week trying to plan a reward/concert or something really brilliant to look forward to. And i just did it:

I booked a flight to Philadelphia, USA on Feb 28th next year, so that on March 1st at 6am I can run up the steps like out of the Rocky films!:D

Sept1st to March1st is exactly 6 months, and while ive lost a load of weight by xmas, my ultimate target of 175 lbs is TOTALLY achievable by that date! flights with BA were really cheap (£400 return), and hotel booked already. cannot wait!!!!!!!!

3.2 lb weight loss this week is icing on the cake!

Just 1lb for me this week, but whereas I would usually be disappointed and either stuff my face or not eat for a while I'm really happy. 1lb closer to my goal and every little bit counts. I'm hoping to have a big number this week although I will be weighing in on friday as I'm going on a retreat for the week :)

I have a question for you all... What 5 things are you most looking forward to being able to do when you are thinner/at target?

For me it is things I can't do because I am either too big, too unfit or don't have the confidence to do...

1) Go on the rides at Alton Towers
2) Start to play football for a team again
3) Learn to snowboard
4) Being able to buy clothes from any shop rather than plus size sections or shops
5) Look in the mirror and like what I see :)

I am getting better. Aiming to get out of here ASAP! I was weighed yesterday and was half a pound down from last week. I'm really disappointed as they weighed me before my surgery (on Thursday) and I was two pounds down. Grrrr. They are feeding me lots of non-diet food now - and I have a well meaning army of aunties and friends intent on stuffing the contents of an entire Thornton's shop down my throat... fortunately they have been distracted by my asking for fresh fruit (= 0 WW pro points) and are now having a contest to see who can find the most elaborate platter of prepared fresh fruit :D

In answer to your question Rainstar:

(1) enjoy shopping again, because I won't have to pick up massive sizes
(2) say yes to a date (don't feel confident enough to do that now!)
(3) meet with old friends who haven't seen me in my current state!
(4) wear a bikini on the beach
(5) go for a professional wax (can't bear the idea of anyone seeing my tummy so DIY at the moment!)

1 : Wear "normal" clothes instead of stretchy ones
2 : Feel confident and not be the "fat" one in a group..

5 : Enjoy sitting on a train instead of being uncomfortable trying to squash myself in..

hi all,
glad everyone is doing well.
I sts this week a little gutted as I've cut portion sizes, and cut out bread and diary with no effect on my weight at all, keeping at it though, hopefully will see a loss this week. fingers crossed anyway.
hope you all have a good week too. :)
