The really slow loss team!

I took the pill but didn't like it do stopped it after a week and had a withdrawal bleed then a week or so later I started spotting brown blood tmi lol, then another week or do after that I had a small bleed just for a day, I've been taking Agnus castus and black cohosh I'm a month in and it says by 6 months you should have regular periods, so I'm presuming this random bleeding is my body trying to adjust. I feel better in myself I must say, not so down. I've got massive period pains, hairs falling out ( which happens before I come in its the drop
In hormones) I'm spotty, moody, breasts hurt usual stuff so
I just hope I come on soon and not just have a bout of spotting lol. Charl when I wasn't having periods for months I really struggled to
Lose weight too. Have u got pcos?

I don't think so, I just had all my bloods done from the docs and everything came back fine which they tested for, but even on a very bad day I may have 2200 cals which at my weight would still be fine to regulate, I was having 1400 a day but put weight on so just being more relaxed and using SW more than cal counting now as I was quite hungry at just having 1300-1400 a day. Now I'm having about 16-1800 which again should still be fine considering my weight already to lose 1lb a week which is realistic for me now, I'm obviously never going to be a quick loser. I've cut out most fat/sugar limiting carbs and still nothing. I just think my body isn't getting rid of things, like is this pill tricking my body into thinking I'm pregnant so I'm just holding on to what I eat? It's so annoying! I think I'll have to go back to the doctors xx

Lou - I started taking Agnus Castus about 3 weeks ago, I have the liquid which is absolutely foul, even in a drink.

Charl - I've probably missed it in previous posts but what pill are you on? I've been on Cilest for just over 8 years & I've never missed periods, I was put on the pill to regulate mine. I still suffer from everything else with it though. And did your Dr send off tests for PCOS?? As far as I know that can only be determined via scans & ops, I had two scans & they said it was all clear but when I had a laparsopsy they saw I do have PCOS.

My bloods came back normal except for one small fluctuation which apparently
Most doctors miss but luckily I saw one who
Specialised in that area and he spotted it. He sent me to
An endocrinologist who said that pcos is more diagnosed on symptoms than results cos sometimes bloods come back
Fine especially if u have it mild. Even ultra sounds aren't conclusive. The only thing that would be would be a camera which is invasive and unnecessary cos there isn't really much they can do
Unfortunately. Maybe try a progesterone only
Pill? These are better for people prone to
Weight gain Hun. I know I haven't gained so am not sweating it and I'm gonna carry on cos I feel slimmer and I e turned a corner with my eating. I'm
No longer pigging out like I was. If you exercise a
Lot it could just take your body a while to catch up Hun x

I'm on cerazette which hasn't made me put weight on, well I did but that's as I was being a greedy cow and drinking loads when my bf first moved in. But even though I've cut most of my drinking, and eat really well it's not really having an impact. I think cerazette is a progesterone only pill, I can't have any others due to my weight, I smoke and have loads of heart disease in my family. Well the bloods were for thyroid and sugar levels and blood health or something I think but I'll book another app and go back as it just doesn't add up really! Xx

I think there could be more to the hormones then. When I was diagnosed with PCOS it meant nothing really as they can't do anything about it, if you remove a cyst they will carry on coming back, but it's proven that people woth PCOS find it harder to lose weight. I have 2 other things too which means it's 3times as hard. I had things like thyroid checked too & all my tests have come back ok. I think some of us have issues deep down (i.e. hormone related) which just means the weight comes off much slower & often seems impossible at times, even when sticking to SW or cutting out things.

Exactly. Its just really hard sometimes isn't it when you try hard and it's not getting you anywhere. I mean I've got quite a lot to lose and it really shouldn't be this hard this early. I'd understand if I was closer to goal but I've weighed less than this without really trying to diet! Grrr! At least it's going down albeit ridiculously slowly. Could have carried on been a half tonne woman! Xx

The strange thing I've found is that around my
Period like a week before I'll have a great weight loss then I'll gain water for a few days while I come on then I'll have a few good losses after then if I don't have a period for a while I stop
Losing its like if my hormones don't fluctuate normally I struggle to lose. But mostly for me when I don't lose it's cos I'm being a greedy mare or drinking too much and exercising too little. But I agree having hormone problems does
Make it harder to lose weight as do
Lots of other heath problems but the key is to
Not give up, which we aren't doing. So a big pat on the back to all of us for that.

Yep I've struggled since I was a teen & I've tried everything to lose the weight. SW is the best thing for me, I like to eat & know I can lose weight. But I am gutted when I give 100% & don't lose consistenly, I find it really disheartening to be honest. Even when I joined SW at class in 2010 I coulnd't lose more than 3 weeks in a row. But I'd rather know there's a reason why I find it hard (hormones) than just be a random person who doesn't lose like the majority. I know I'm the healthiest I've ever been, but it is very hard when your weight doesn't reflect the effort you put in.

Aufden your very good to think of us all hon. How are you doing this week?

I am sooo hungry tonight, which is always a good sign for it coming. I was bad and had 2 bits of toast, but will just not have a hexB tomorrow to try and balance. Here's hoping for a proper one and not just random spotting. Had pmt for 2 weeks! Gone to bed too, best way to avoid isn't it! X

No idea! I know it says you can be irregular or light. But other friends who've had this never stopped completely like me.. But then maybe it affects me differently as I've had twins? Who knows! I tried a coil as the pill has never really agreed with me but hated it and got it taken straight out! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! X

I don't think your twins would affect your pill. Just sounds like its the way you react to it. Shame you can't have the implant I've heard it's brilliant. Thanks hun hope you come on too. Synchronised periods lol x
