hi everyone, I am still here. Just written a really long post about the joys of exercise and lost it! Nothing to report here. Still hanging in there but because of the snow, by the time I got to my CDC's house it was afternoon and I had had a few coffees and a shake. Also I was wearing three layers of clothing so there was no way I was getting on the scales. Just bought 2 weeks' worth of supplies. Need more time before I weigh. Know what I was before Christmas and don't really want to face the music just yet. Still trying to get on track. Nearly there but not drinking the water. Gonna go for 2 litres tomorrow.
Well done on the losses! I'm so impressed. Gem, you are rocking now! I love it when you are so inspired like this! Just think where you will by Easter at this rate. I will probably switch to real porridge soon but right now I am still addicted to CD porridge (with a teaspoon of Toffe & Walnut shale mixed in!). I save money by just buying the porridge and the bars and then buying the 'tetras' from Asda (89p each) or Tescos (2 for £2).
Gill, I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with the gym. Stick at it. Forget about the changing room, they're not looking at you, that is just a little voice in your head trying to find another reason not to go I reckon. Work it into your daily routine so that there is never a choice but to go. Once it is part of your day, I swear it gets easier. It's only hard if you give yourself a let-out clause because then you will struggle and most likely take it. Also, plan what you are going to do each time. Even have a little chart so you can tick off how many minutes you did on each machine and can see your progress. I used to have to force myself and now I am going stir crazy because the snow is stopping me going. I have also redicovered swimming. And snow or no snow I am going to the pool tomorrow -- it's been 3 days since I exercised and I really, really miss it. I never thought in a million years I would be like this!
Keep up the good work. You really are inspiring me!
