This time I will do it!!...

If rather all boys than these in laws! Believe me, I'm shocked I've managed to stick it for so long. It wouldn't be so bad but she's my manager too, and when we go to the local... They follow... They don't sit on their own, no they come and sit with us and our friends! It's a wonder they aren't sleeping between us in bed!

To her I can't do anything right, I'm "clinically obese" at 9st9lbs, yet she's 12st and perfect apparently - (not slating anyone of 12st, I think the curvier the better! But how I can be obese if she's gods gift beats me)
I've even suffered from depression cos of her!

If anyone thinks they have the mother in law from hell they wanna spend a day with mine!
Xx

I beat you hands down! My mother in law lives with me and has done for 16 years! Luckily she is okay and keeps herself to herself. I suppose the balance of power is in my favour though, as it mine and my hubbies house, so ultimately what I say goes.... Still it isn't easy and at times I have to walk on egg shells. She would probably say the same about me though! LOL!

OMG! That sounds a nightmare.

Living and working together puts enough of a strain on without having to unwittingly socialise together as well when you just want time with OH and your friends.

And as for your comments on your weight, weight is such a person thing, only you know if your a weight your comfortable with and it's inappropriate to make comments on being 'obese' regardless!
9st 9lbs is not obese! X

You all deserve medals! No way could I live with my MIL. Have probably only seen her a handful of times since I met OH! Lol.

Oh my god that would be absolute bliss!

I don't know how I haven't killed her yet! (In the nicest possible way ;) ) lol

Anju I'm dreading when I do move out - I think she might try and move in! Although I will be kicking her to the kerb and she will most DEFINATELY not be getting a key! Haha. I don't think I'd let her babysit either! I'd probably have my kids coming home saying "mummy your fat". Then there will be ww3!

I couldn't put up with her for 16years though, as much as it would kill me I'd have to leave. Or tie her up and keep her in the loft!

(I am kidding of course ;) )

Honestly it is so tough at times. 2 women in the kitchen can be an absolutely nightmare, especially now as I am cooking all SW meals for the family. She is feeling quite redundant and keeps making Chicken pie and chips or pizza- albeit for the kids, but it just tempts me so badly. I think she is jealous as she is on a permanent starvation diet and doesn't lose much weight and can see I am doing really well. I am becoming competition for her and it she doesn't like the attention I am now getting from everyone! Bit sad really

Maybe she feels like she's not needed - you doing so well, cooking lovely meals...

Either way it must be hard x

I think it's jealousy with her tbh, she doesn't like that I look better than her. She's the same with her daughters too. But she thinks its ok for the men to put on weight :/ it baffled me!

I wouldn't know about the kitchen bit.. She don't cook, her & FIL live in their bedroom and I think they wait to see if I do them dinner too, and if they know we have eaten ours they will come down and do cheese or beans on toast or a bacon sandwich (with my food!).
I used to do them dinner every day and a few times I'd ask them if they'd want it and they would say yes so is do it, then they would say I don't fancy it now, or I'm not hungry anymore. So I stopped doing it and told the BF I'm not wasting food and putting in the effort if they are just gunna keep throwing it in the bin.
Don't get me wrong if I do too much I tell them they can have it but there's no way I'm going out of my way for them anymore. The odd occasion she does cook she doesn't cook us any (and again - most of the time it's my food she cooks!)

To a degree yes, but not fully. His attitude is if the food is in their fridge- they can eat it. Which would be fine if they would at least ask, not just take it so when I go to cook/eat it its gone.
And about the weight bit he knows very little, only the small digs she makes - the majority of it she does it when we're alone. Last year she told me that she wouldn't be surprised if he went out and slept with or had an affair with someone, because I don't look the same as I did when he first met me. Things like that I don't tell him as I don't know whether he will kick off and go mad at her, or do what would upset me more which would be "just ignor it" which is impossible as I get it literally 24/7. I can't even eat a slice of toast without her gawping at me at work saying "should you be eating that"

Aw Pebbles. Maybe she says those things as no Mother thinks any girl is good enough for their Sons. They sometimes feel that they're no longer needed or are being replaced.
It's no excuse but is often true x

Yeah that's what my friend said - she doesn't need to do anything for him now, she does try to molecoddle him, she acts like he's 10 "Jamie I have ran you a bath come and get in it please" and he's like no ill have one later when I wanna have one , then she storms downstairs "we're not wasting water! Come and have a bath please" I'm sitting there like bloody hell woman he's nearly 26, EFF OFF lol xx

Hi guys. You are all welcome over to mine. I will go and get the spare beds ready for you. Need cheering up. Drove down to London to buy myself a new Indian outfit for my mums 60th birthday. Nothing fits me at all. When I say nothing, I am not exaggerating .... Nothing at all! Not one outfit out of the whole shop. Gutted. Have taken the day off work, driven 100 miles there and 100 miles back, been to 8 different shops and all for nothing. Been in tears as I really thought 4 stones would mean I could get into something! The nearest size to me was 3" too small! Ended up in tesco looking for a new dress. What a waste of a day. Miserable now

Aww Anju, I'm sending you a big hug hunni - that has made me feel sad for you. I know how that feels but, if you hadn't lost an amazing amount of weight it wouldn't have been only 3" too small would it? I know that's probably not helped but look at the positives. You really have done so well. Do you know a good seamstress who could alter a dress for you? That would certainly make a dress unique x

whooop wtg you :)

You look amazing! Xx
