This Time I'm Determined!

1. How long before the holiday?
2. How tight are the clothes? (How much would you need to lose to fit into them?)
3. What's the time limit on exchanging them?

I fly on the 28th of this month.

One dress wont even go over 1 thigh (So that's defo going back) and a pair of denim shorts wont fasten but I can get them on.

I bought them from primark so don't really know how long the returns/exchange is, was thinking of going tonight

xx

Primark website says 28 days, so that's just before your trip (but I guess safer to check the specific branch). And you've got almost 4 weeks, Em, so easy peasy to get into the clothes by then! I would hang onto them as long as possible to give yourself extra motivation. You can even post weekly pics if you want extra encouragement (see ceridwen's 'operation size 10 jeans' diary from last year). And if all else fails, you can take them back later :)

Thanks D!" All the 12 tops fit me it's just the bottoms, I'm a real pear lol!" I'll start doing pics each weekend up until the hol :D x

Not worth the circulation loss hun!!

If u like them get them a size bigger, sod what the label says! Comfort first thats what i say, i still wear old size 14 stuff when i want to!

You've got loads of time to fit in them! Also, honestly, they aren't THAT tight. I've seen people who wear much tighter things out in public.
Motivation!

They will fit perfect by the time your holibobs come xxx you will see xxx

Exactly, at least you got them to fasten! Not far to go at all.

You said you were doing weight training: have you tried squats and lunges? Great way to whittle down your bum and thighs quickly. In fact I should start some tomorrow morning...

Good luck, you can do this!

PV today as yesterday ended up being PP.

Breakfast: 2 egg omelette
Dinner: salad
Tea: salmon & cabbage
Snack: muller light & oatbran

Hi Em, is that the advance plan for the day, or have you already eaten all your meals? :) I also have to admit still don't understand what tea and dinner mean in this country... Where is lunch? And does dinner usually come before tea? Think I need a dictionary :)

Hi D, that's the plan for today tea may change depending on how I feel later not really feeling very dukan today...

Dinner = Lunch
Tea = Dinner

Most people I know say Breakfast, Dinner, Tea... may be a northern thing lol x

No wonder I was confused. Thanks for the translation :)

Good luck today: it's pv, so go wild! I'm pv too and dreaming about my pumpkin pudding for tonight's dessert!

Woah, woah, woah. Pumpkin pudding?! You.must.share.

Also, since we're talking about needing translations of things, what is a "muller"? And, do you actually drink tea at tea? Is there also still tea time? What I know about England stems from The Holiday, Downton Abbey, Brit lit classes, and my brother's two trips there. So, I have this kind of mish-mash of new and old going on here.

A muller is a brand of yoghurt Muller light, and all British folk don't drink tea, I hate the stuff and I wish we all lived in homes like Downton Abbey lol the power of tv xxx

Don't ask me, PJ. I'm a South African who's lived most her life abroad, only recently arrived on this wonderful island. Oh, and I teach English for a living. Go figure :)

Great to see how global the forum is getting. Maybe we need flags on our avatars?

Woah, woah, woah. Pumpkin pudding?! You.must.share.

I do mine by peeling, chopping and then boiling or steaming the pumpkin, then mashing it until it's nice and creamy. Add some quark/ fromage frais, sweetener and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger, allspice), maybe a dash of vanilla, and away you go!

I'm going to try with tinned pumpkin tonight to save half the work! Will let you know how it goes :)

I think I'm going to have to try pumpkin I've never had it lol!

I like tea but only with 2 sugars and semi skimmed milk and don't forget the cakes :)

I'd love to live in chatsworth.... Maybe if we win the lottery hmmmmmmm x

I totally want to have tea in England. I think it's a wish of every American. ESPECIALLY with the cakes.

I'm definitely finding a pumpkin for this pudding. What is quark? I don't think we have it here...

Or with scones, homemade jam, and clotted cream... YUM!
Quark is like fromage blanc or fromage frais.
I've eaten pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving do's here - delicious - but have only made soup with it myself.

All this talk about tea & cakes has got me feeling hungry...

PP today

Breakfast: Muller light & oatbran (Imagine it's a cooked breakfast)
Dinner: 2 x eggs Scrambled
Tea: Mackerel

Drinks: Water & Pepsi max

Have a lovely day everyone!" :D
