So it's been a long time and this is a post I'm sure all of us who come back after a loss dread to make, I know for me it's hard place to come back to as it's affected my life in ways I wouldn't even of dreamed of when first signing up.
I met my lovely missus on here we had 2 great sons who we don't know what the future holds for them as they were born 15 weeks early.
But this is the hardest part for me to say that me and Laura broke up. Its hard it's very hard if I'm honest but you can't force someone to be with you. I'm just glad we are getting on, as the kids get older they don't won't to be seeing parents on at each other and I just pray we stay the same as they get older.
Right that's enough of that stuff and I didn't know if to post that or not but thought if there was some of the old crew about they would ask soon enough anyway.

Onto me and my weight, as some of you know I started at 513 way back in 2011 then got down to 277 now I'm back to 480 not good at all and to be honest I'm so pissed off at myself it untrue. But these things are sent to test us and test me this is. Its going to be hard I know, harder than last time as for the past year I have stuffed my face silly I will admit it.
At least I have weighed in and logged it here, I started a new thread as I thought the last had run its cause and has I have to start a new chapter in my life I thought a new diary was in order.

I have just got of the exercise bike and done 10 mins and 3.19k. Nothing in the grand scheme of things I know but to me at this point in my life may just be the hardest ride I have ever done. It has taken me all day to basically blog myself and get the energy to get of my fat arse and get on the bike.
I know one day I will get back to the level of fitness I had before and I also know it won't happen over night but one day I will be there and when I am I can look back on this day knowing that them 10 mins were worth it and to know the next 10 are as well.
I hope to have a look around the sight over the coming weeks and ease myself back into it. As I'm here for the long haul again.

Infact changed it to 239 goal as that takes me into overweight not obese, not that it matters really but it's a goal.

Welcome back, James is it? I've seen you around before but don't think we've ever "spoken". I'm sorry to hear you've been having a tough time of it, and am glad to see you back on here and determined to start again. I know all too well what it's like to lose lots and then put it back on again - yo-yo is my middle name, lol. Now at the grand old age of 50 I'm hoping this may be the one that sticks; so far so good! All the best, and I'll follow your progress with interest now I've subscribed. :) xx

Hello there Tracy and thanks. And a big massive congrats to you on your loss :)

Went and seen the kids tonight and we ended up having a Chinese not great but ut was well nice we had no chocolate or pudding or crap so that's a improvement on past eatings. One massive regret we had a portion of chips between us early in the day. Overall not to bad, loads of room for improvement but it's a start bad it's day one down. Tomorrow will be a better day foods wise I promise right now.

Thank you, James. :)

I'm a big believer in introducing dietary changes gradually, so as you say, what you ate yesterday is an improvement over past habits, and that's great. I think the single most important thing with successful weight loss is not to feel deprived, because that almost inevtitably leads to failure. But you know all this, you've done so fantastically before!

I hope your sons are doing well. :) xx

Thanks you two. I like jotting down things in here as i like it when people say like you have that you will be checking in on me. It gives you that extra motivation not to let people down.

And I like to pride myself on honesty and I've always been honest before on here, the minute we start lying about food intake is when things go horribly wrong. If I eat bad I will be putting it down in here. Tonight is going to be hard as the ex is moving away with the kids next week. So I'll be going round there tonight and we are planning on eating something. Time will tell how naughty we are lol.

Back on the bike today, managed 12 mins 3.76k Better than yesterday so I'm pleased with that. Not going on tomorrow I don't think as my knee was popping habit last night.

Loving being back on it. Long may it continue.

Ooh, yes, look after your knees - it's too late for mine, they're both shot, but if there's anything you can do not to get in that situation, do it! :) xx

Yeah it's hard finding a balance between exercise and keeping knees intact.
Had a sandwich and pace of crisps for dinner. Going to have a yogurt in a min.

The balance is easy for me - I don't exercise at at, lol. The combination of osteoarthritis and ME/CFS makes it impractical, so it's dietary control all the way for me. :) xx

I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis last year as well. Not good and sometimes I really need to chill out on it.

Had a mixed grill tonight not the best but not the worst at the same time and compaired to what I have eaten to regain it it's a very good step in the right direction. Oh I did have a egg custard earlier as well.

Not sure when my weigh ins will be yet. They used to be Mondays might stick with that or I am contemplating weighing in once a month, but not sure if I could handle it.

Hi, James. Have you considered taking any medical approaches to weight loss, like Orlistat? Sorry, I can't remember if you mentioned anything like that previously. I've taken Orlistat for 20 months now, and it's definitely helped me stay on the straight and narrow. My GP was very supportive in prescribing it and monitoring my progress during the first 12 months. :) xx

I've tried it before years ago but not something I'm going to try again atm. Just going to stick with what worked last time. Not that it wrong just not right for me at this point in time.

Fair enough, but at least you know there are things like that as options to try. I'd never sought medical help for weight loss before, and it did really help me focus. :) xx

Yeah like I say I'm not knocking it. I had a friend use it and it helped him as well.

Agree Chezz once a month might be to much. But I'm going to see if I can do it. I bet I can't as once a week was hard enough. Lol

Got back from me mates and decided to get on bike. Did 15 mins 4.61k. Feeling it now tho. Oh well it will all pay of in the end.
