Extra Easy Days Those days when you just can't be bothered!

Have beem struggling for the past few weeks and have come to the conclusion it is simply down to laziness on my part. Was wondering if anyone else feels this way and if so how they have got back on track?

By lazy i mean really just can't be bothered to think about it. So i will go out for lunch with mates and sure i could have the salad and ask for no dressing or croutons and have a diet coke but i just can't bothered with all that thinking, all that scanning the menu and thinking ' i can have that if i ask them to replace the chips with jacket'

So i am in a situation where even if there is an on plan option i am not going for it. Its like a part of my brain is refusing to play ball. I don't get it and am getting a little frustrated with myself.

I have drawn more lines than i can count in the past two weeks - i have run out of pens& pencils! Any other ideas??
 
i know what you mean since easter hols with family ive been fannying around but then last night on face book an old freind posted how she had bought some pants in 12s and i thought right get a bloody grip so back on it big time , just look at what you have done already and remember how good it feels when that scale goes down keep it up and good luck xx
 
Have you tried going back to the beginning?? Writing meal plans and shopping lists?? I think it's one of the first things we stop doing as we become more used to the plan and then it's easy to slip into the 'I can't be arsed thinking what to eat' at 5.30pm when you're looking in the fridge! Go back to spending half an hour plannning weekly meals and writing shopping lists ~ hopefully knowing what you're going to be eating will stop you being lazy about it :)

I do this every week anyway tbh. This is less to do with not planning and more to do with my brain just wanting to make the bad choices when it can!! I don't have any off plan food in the house so I'm fine when i'm at home and will always make the right choice. Its when i'm out - and i have been out alot recently ( like at least 4-6 meals a week)- that i struggle. Just don't get why! Like the other day in the pub i ordered a seafood salad, no dressing, and a diet coke. All good - but then ended up ordering onion rings aswell. Then salad came with a flatbread and they had put dressing on even though i asked them not too - and instead of sending back i just ate it! I don't gey what is wrong in my brain!

I have lost enough weight already to be the lightest i've been in 10 years. I know this plan works - why can't i just sodding stick to it??

i know how you feel! i have had a few moments like this recently, everytime i look in the mirror and feel good i think ooh i deserve having something naughty!
ive been good for a few days now and trying to keep focused on it, like you say it works, but it seems to be my brain just cant be arsed sometimes! when i have felt like that the last couple of days i just go onto my food diary and plan everythng in great detail so i have a plan and it literally takes no effort whatsoever, i just have to look at my comp and read what im going ot eat rather than dither around thinking about it and then making bad choices!

Cos you're human? lol! Seriously though it happens to the best of us. Just today I've pulled out all my old SW magazines and am jotting down the meals and recipes I like the best in a file, just to get some new ideas. I know you say you're fine when you're at home, as long as you're 'reasonably' careful when you're out but spot on at home surely you should be OK? If I had my way (and the money) I would have a restaurant with a dedicated SW friendly section in the menu.....of 'exciting' meals, not just the same old boring ones :). What do you reckon? Anyone want to be a silent investor?? xx

I do really wish there was a SW friendly restaurant chain out there! Would take away a lot of the hassle of going out for dinner! Most of the time i don't gain if i have one meal a week which is off plan - i just think that with the bank hols & good weather there has been more socialising. Maybe it will calm down when back to work etc.

I know exactly how ur feeling for the past 2 weeks ive sed to myself every morn "right today be gud and stick to plan" by teatime ive eaten more syns in a day than allowed in a week ! wats goin on . . . it must be the warm weather thats affecting my brain from workin properly . . . at the moment ive told myself that im gettin back on plan from tues . . . . which tues im not sure !! fingers crossed its this tues pmsl:rotflmao:

You know it works, and you obviously WANT to do it, but there's something holding you back and making it hard right now; were you happy at this weight the last time? Is that's what's making you stop, or is there a fear of the unknown maybe?

Hmm - tis certainly the case that i cannot remember being thin, or slim, or even not fat so you may have something there. Will need to have a think on that one and have a quiet word with myself

Does bribery work? Could you pick out something that you REALLY want a bag, pair of shoes, perfume? and then set yourself a target so that when you hit that target you can get your reward? The sooner you hit target the sooner you can get your mits on it.
 
oh and by target I don't neccessarily mean weight. Could bew something like eat SW friendly foods when out 5 times in a row. May make you more inclined to stick to it? :)

Budge up, I need a place on your couch!! :D I understand exactly how you feel and I could have written half of what you have!

But I would like to say please don't be too hard on yourself, your loss to date is very encouraging and inpsirational, you are doing very well. But I do agree that going back to basics and resisting all temptation is key, and whilst you may be doing this already - don't have anything in the house that can distract you!

Not in a position to give any advice - just wanted to say you are not alone, and don't be too hard with yourself

I'm feeling the same today and have done all weekend, can't bear the sight of eggs and pasta which is the main part of my green day diet. I'm a poor vegetarian :(

There are 2 'SW only' restaurants near me, and I have bothered to travel to them?? Nope, just shoot me now I'm a fool.
