ProPoints Time to knuckle down, summer is around the corner!

I get worried that i'll gain weight so I have to keeo checking! Because if i gain weight i know i need to do more exercise to burn it off etc.

So would half a portion be 6pp do you think?

I worry that I'm gonna gain weight too.
Especially at the moment when I don't know how my daily routine is going to be because of my new job.
But I'm going to do what I can, exercise as much as I can and stick to plan.

Keep looking at the scales is going to stress you out.
Before WW, I used to weigh myself like every other day, or on days where I ate barely anything, or felt skinnier and it usually showed I was heavier than I had been.
And that got me down.
So I wouldn't eat.
And then I'd get hungry and end up binging.
The scales really messed me up more than getting on with it.

Right at the beginning, when I started WW on the wednesday, I did my first weigh in and lost 2lbs.
Then started WW meetings the next day and the scales we 1lb heavier.
I wasn't planning on going back to WW meeting, so weighed myself the following Wednesday and lost another 2lbs.
Then I did go to meeting the next day and had lost 6lbs.
I haven't weighed myself at home since, because it was just getting too confusing.

I really would like you to try and not weigh yourself again this week until weigh in on monday.
Make an exercise plan for the week and stick to it, regardless of whether you think you've put on or not.
I do around 10 hours a week.
You could set a number or hours you wanna do, set a distance you'd like to walk over the week, number of activity points to earn, or some other kind of target, and go for it.
You'll earn a whole bunch of activity points that will be there as back ups with your weeklies and you'll feel good.
And hopefully you'll see the results come monday.

And yeah, I'd reckon so.
Maybe add an extra point if you really want to be safe, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

Okay, I wont weigh until WI now. Its going to be really hard!

I put down 6pp for the rice and 12pp for the chips, i hope that covers it!

Hey folks, i just love reading everyone elses stories! Well done on your silver seven!!! How do you all get the time to exercise enough for activity points? is it not like 10,000 steps before you can even start earning them? cx

Thanks!

I think it's 10,000 steps for the pedometer.

I work it out differently- I walk for 25 mins at a slow pace then on my WeightWatchers app I go to the activity section and find "walking-slow" and input 25 mins and it tells me how many points I've earned.

I think you just reply, then at the top of the page in the blue bar click on "subscribed threads" and the list shows up

I'm Back :) On my WW Pedometer, I have to do 7807 Steps before I start earning and then it's 2597 Steps for every Activity PP. x

Remember that you can have 5 Crackerbread for 2pp ;-) x

Serena my WW app says only 4 crackerbread for 2pp. If I have 5 it goes up to 3pp.

So I was a bit naughty and had some more biscuits... taking my total points up to 43. 21 weeklies remaining.

OMG really? I worked it out on my WW Calculator and mine came out as 2pp for 5 x

If you have a PP Calculator can you possibly work it out for me? Protein-0.5, Carb-3.8, Fat-0.1 and Fibre-0.2. That's for 1 and I increased Quantity. 1 was 0pp, 2 or 3 was 1pp and 4 or 5 was 2pp. Confused.com! X

And cscott579 - it depends on your height and weight as to how many steps you have to do before earning any.
I'm 5 foot 4 and weigh 10st11 and currently have to walk around 6000 steps before starting to earn, and then have to walk another 2000 steps to earn a point.
So I get my first activity point after 8000 steps and another one every 2000 after that.
It will increase as my weight decreases.

The initial 6000 steps is to cover regular walking that you do each day.

However, if you're just going out walking, I don't think you have to count the initial steps.
Like if you physically go out for a walk, but wouldn't normally, that would earn you activity points straight away because it's not part of your routine walking.
Does that make sense?!

Oh... did that only just send now?!
Oops... haha..

I think there might be a problem with Minimins tonight as my posts keep failing! Maybe it didn't want me to come back :-( x

Well Serena, this is quite the conundrum!

I weighed out 4 ryvita crackerbreads on my scales and they came to 18g. I inputted the nutritional info and this is how many points it said-

IMG_1361.jpg

0 points!!! And it still said 0 when I put another one on.

However when I put the info into my calculator and worked it out for 4 (based on 5g per crackerbread so 20g for 4) it came out as 2pp. When I increased it to 25g so for 5 crackerbreads it still said 2pp. Then it went up to 3pp for 6.

However when I search for ryvita crackerbreads in the database and select 5 it says 3pp.

So take your pick- 0pp, 2pp or 3pp haha

Well we just thoroughly confused ourselves! I can confirm that my Calculator definitely says

1-0pp
2 or 3-1pp
4 or 5-2pp
6 or 7-3pp

Think ill stick with 5 for 2pp, they taste rank and I only eat them cos you get so many for 2pp lol x

I'll stick to my 4 as it's the perfect amount for spreading an extra light laughing cow triangle on :)
