:wave_cry:I want to make a carrot and lentil soup but only have tins of green lentils. Any ideas on how to do it?? All the recipes on here use dried red lentils so am very confused!:D

green lentils have a thicker texture to red lentils and not sure tinned ones will work very well in a soup. You will prob find they will make you soup too thick.

I use green lentils in things like vegetable chilli's.

dried red lentils are the best for soups, as they absorb all th flavour as they start to cook in your soup and thicken it.

The superspeed soup recipe includes a tin of green lentils so it will be fine in soup. Just add more stock if you think it is going to be too thick.

If in doubt, just bung anything in soup and whizz it with the blender at the end :)
