Hard day today but getting there. I have wanted my shakes all day, have one left but holding it off as I don't want to be left without one. Too dangerous. Hopefully back to normal tommorrow. x

Not bad today - it's tomorrow I'm slightly worried about as I'm at a horse show for most of the day and won't have access to a plug for my blender, and cannot STAND lumpy shakes mixed any other way! Think I'll have to have an early breakfast one (like, 6.30am!), drink lots of water all day and hopefully be home by 2-3pm anyway. Bit worried though! I will take a babybel in case of serious wobblyness (will be very active) but will try my utmost not to need it.

As for me I'm still on Cloud9 as I lost 6lbs in 3 days :D and I can't believe I've lost a minimum 1 stone already and can't wait for the next (6stone) stone to go BYE BYE's

Apart from that my arthritis has been painful today but am trying to hold back from taking my pain meds as they make me feel really wasted but atleast ive had a few hot showers to ease the pain (which does help) abit

Me too I cannot stand lumps in shakes. So do you have any horses? My 12yr old daughter will be starting to go with an old friend of mine who has horses and be shown the ropes in stable care and learn about grooming soon over at the stable in Stanmore. She is looking forward to it as she is wanting to become a Vet.

my tip for lumps is- mix your shake in your skae container ( from the chemist or sports shop) and then pour your shake over ice and drink with a straw! its the only way i can drink them, if no ice the water has to be ice cold but i can NEVER drink it without a straw- it tastes 100% better x

Yep, I've got 3 at the moment but only really have to worry about 2. I'm taking the baby to her first show tomorrow - fingers crossed we all come home in 1 piece and enjoy oursevles! I've found my mini-whisk in case of lumps, and have packed LOTS of water and some babybels :D

Bren hope the days goes well and i look forward to hearing about the day at the show.

I am feeling pretty exhausted today, have a tummy ache, want my bed and struggled to drink my L/T drink at breakfast and not forgetting the waterfall throne meeting. Talk about an emotional roll-a-coaster of a ride.

So how are you all today?

Week1 = -6lbs
Week2 = -5lbs
half way through wk3 and have lost 6lbs :D

hey there!
How's the arthritis today? my mum just had an op for hers, carbon fibres put in her spine and fused two of the vertebraes together. She suffered somethin shocking prior to that op so i have every sympathy for you. Congrats on even being on the diet when you have that on ya plate already!! Not only does this diet actually shed the pounds, but in my opinion i feel it puts a bit of magical self belief back in yourself n strengthens your character up when you realise you have will power and discipline that exceeds 99% of everyones expectations :) I call it "the victory V" :)
I missed my weigh in last week, and then realised that the sweeteners i was taking werent okay so when i went to be weighed today i wasnt highly optimistic. But my word i've had an early christmas! I've lost 9lbs in past two weeks! There's a massive suprise for the books!!! I had to insist on a second reading before i started singing a christmas carol lol!
Your results are fantastic btw! keep up the amazing work! i've been a lot slower on this diet but i've a smaller margin to lose than some, but we're all in the same boat as its the same experiences and same diet no matter how much we've to lose?
Good luck to your daughter, how old is she? work experience wise she will need to spend at least a day at an abbatoir, be up to date on defra rules and regs, knowledge on common vaccinations like parvo n be able answer questions on them, large animal exp, small animal exp in vet surgeries. Get at least AAB at a level (mandatory A in chem). And also on application prove she has a life - eg. have outside interests, running club/plays an instrument/duke of edinburgh award scheme. But its not impossible, just start planning early and if she doesnt get the grades there's alternative jobs in the animal world pls remind her of that x

Nice thread, OKish today, bit bored.... Im under control though :)

She's 12yrs of age and i still remember the day she said to 'Mummy when i grow up i want to be animal Doctor and want to work pets, tigers, lion, elephants, dragons, fish.......' she was 2 1/2yrs old and has not had a change of mind of what she wants.
She will be going with a dear friend of mine to the stables where she has a few horses and will be shown the ropes. As for fear of animals/ creatures she has none and when ever there is documentary on tv which cover the forensics of animals she is glued.
Where as my soon to 7yr old son, he wants to follow the family business (gold/ diamondsmith), become a builder as he wants to build me house (Grand Designs I blame) and to be a racing driver car and or bike.

I am just happy to guide and advise them on which is the best way for them to reach their goals on what ever they decide to do. I'm not one of those parents who force them into their studies and over load them, I'm a believer of balance. Going back to my daughter she'll be joining the Air Cadets next year and is hoping to join the RAF after her A-levels as she wants to become a Vet through them (RAF) because she wants the best education and wants to be the best, my Mum on the other hand isn't keen on the idea but its not her who'll have made that decision but my daughter.

There are a majority of kids today across the British Isles who have no manners, courtesy, thought or even respect for their own, society, community, family, and most importantly teachers, the old and those who vulnerable. There are parents who do try to discipline them but there are high majority who encourage their kids. What's happened to this country/ island, gone to pots that what and its heart breaking but when you see youngsters who are decent it makes me smile.

omg you're daughter sounds like a mini me lol! I was in the ATC but swapped to Army cadets whilst doing my GCSEs. I then did exactly the same but was sponsored by the British Army and loved every minute of it. Possibly when she's older worth her lookin at that as an option to RAF. Depends how the government are splittin the funding, both fantastic. She's goin to love ATC! My parents saw a dramatic and positive change. And learning to fly, glide, outdoor activities, DofE and as you said respect and pure courtesy. She's on a well laid path, good for her, and well done Mum! What do they think of ya diet by the way??
Nice thought for a thread by the way, hope everyone is good on this rainy bank holiday weekend! :) x

my other half was in the air cadets and kept on winning all events and then he was a naughty boy and got caught with a fem' cadet. His sister still trains cadets when she's here and my Mark will be going back when Pri' joins just so he can keep an eye on her and has already been warned that she will get the rough of the stick.
I wanted to join when I was 15 (army cadets) but my Mum kept on saying 'what if you die' and that was in front of my interviewer at Wembley office, wish i took my Dad.
What one learns in the Cadets is amazing as you are broken and rebuilt in many different ways and have always wanted my kids to have that opportunity as it's one they'll always remember.

So what do you do now with yourself, and as for this thread it was oh so needed for everyone to have a natter about anything no holes barred:D

As for the diet they are happy if I am, but they were abit freaked out as I've turned into a 'food sniffing junkie' and i steal kisses from them and my fella after they've eaten healthy meals with high carbs just so i get to have a taste - sad but true

the weather has been quite pleasant over here in nw london/ middx with a few good long bursts of solid sunshine (wish i did the sheets). forgot to ask where abouts in Lancs are you

I do a lot of different things but currently studying Advanced Veterinary nursing. I wanted to be a vet, same as your daughter was bandaging my teddies and wanted to be an animal doctor and Doctor dolittle n talk to the animals lol. But i'm dyslexic and struggled to get 3As and a B at a level. I've done tracheometry, keyhole surgery techniques, xrays, all sorts of stuff (look up nottingham uni for your daughter, they do simulation residential weekends, called vet sim i think. highly valuable even experience alone for her). I'm a marine mammal medic, so on call for that and look after seals on beaches. Or if have oil spill get my hands mucky in cleanup!! (very sad). She can do that course at nottingham too.
I did 3 years in the army, and am a ACF instructor for the cadets now, in spare time. I used to model professionally and backing dance. However i broke my leg, which caused me to put a lot of weight on and lose that work. Hence i came on lipotrim! And actually i've my broken leg and lipotrim to thank for me to thank giving me the time to change career n go back to my animal roots! was long winded answer but hope i covered everythin, sorry if i've bored anyone to tears!! x

I love a thread like this.. it helps you connect and learn more about each other.

I've spent time in the garden on my sun lounger today so I'm a happy bunny. Feeling a bit blue as far as the diet is concerned. In my first two weeks I lost a stone but this week I feel as though I've shifted nothing at all and my scales (although far from accurate) tell me I've lost just 2lbs. I'm not in ketosis.. or at least my ketosticks tell me I'm in the lower limits which I know isn't good for this diet.

I'm not sure why it's happened as I'm drinking at least 3ltrs a day if not more.

Weigh in tomorrow though so I'll be able to ask the pharmacist about it.

you have not bored me in the slightest. My baby brother was at Nott. Uni doing his Doctorate and is now working in a hospital by Essex where he's studying some extra specialised modules but intends to go back to Northwick Pk Hosp. My third Brother is starting uni soon to be a Doc aswell bit of a big change from the family business (gold/ diamondsmithing) he'll be going to I think Bristol or Cardiff but am really not too sure which.

You have lost a fair bit so I wouldn't beat yourself up over it and in my eyes as long as you lose the preferable minimum of 2lbs per week then that 2lbs gone and are closer to getting to your goal.

Over here in Harrow its been quite nice today had a short half of hr of a light shower and am glad I didn't put the towels on the line.

Today I watched the Grand Prix practice at 10am and the second one this afternoon and am looking forward to watching the race tomorrow. Just hope Vettels crashes as he is a complete and utter c***, as for Webber well lets just say I've a soft spot for him, even though I am a MClaren fan and am glad Jenson moved over from Red Bull and Lewis and him get on like a house on fire which is always a thing as they do work as a team.:p

What an awesome race eh Chiku? Just got through watching the forum and as usual I want to knock EJ on his ass... he's such an arrogant pig.

I feel so sorry for Jensen.
