To have surgery or not?

S: 17st2.5lb C: 17st0lb G: 12st0lb BMI: 38.4 Loss: 0st2.5lb(1.04%)
Hi all, I just wanted to share this story with you that has been published in The Express today (Saturday 23 Jan) following the coverage in the press this week about the gastric band surgery.

Express.co.uk - Home of the Daily and Sunday Express | Express Yourself :: What's the best way to get thinner?-

The story features my friend Diane, who chose not to have the surgery, but who lost 12 stone, and is now, quite literally half the person she used to be! She has been such an inspiration to me, and whenever I question whether I can lose weight I only have to think about what she has achieved, and that gets me back on track - and (as far as I'm aware) she didn't have the amazing support of a forum such as this, or a weekly group.

The story is also in the paper, but by the time I found out about it, my newsagent had run out of The Express. I understand there are pics in the paper.

Hope you find this useful!

That's a great effort especially as she had no support.
