    Hi All,

I've moved over from Lighterlife forum as were trying for a baby and want to get my body nice and healthy.

Im pretty rubbish at thinking of what to cook so feel I need to try slimming world or something. WW never really work for me.

How are you all doing? How easy do you find it? How do you manage when you eat out?

A class near me is on Tue so I have between now and then to decide whether I want to give it a try.

Thanks for taking the time to read. :D

im with Louise24 on this one, iv tried loads of stuff before but SW is diffrent, cos its a life plan rather than a diet. the book you get when you join gives you all sorts of things for eating out and takeaways, gives you all the syn values so you can plan before you go.

the other good thing about SW is hardly any weighing or measuring, its soo simple.

also its healthy so you will be all prepared for baby making.

go to your class, see if you like the leader person there, as that will make all the diffrence, you need to enjoy going and want to stay at the end of the class for inspiration and moral boosting.

you get rewards of stickers and certificates which sounds silly but it really helps.

give it a go, there is nothing stopping you, whats an hour out of your life to see if you like it.

keep us posted and good luck
    :)

    Hi Lana,
I did LL last year and lost 3 stones in my foundation period. I had a stone to go when I found out I was pregnant. I have come out of the pregnancy only having put on half a stone from my pre pregnancy weight.
I am convinced that my weight caused me to take longer to conceive so I am glad that I stuck with it until I got the majority of my weight off.
Now I have to loose that extra stone and a half I felt strong enough to do it with Slimming World. I did consider going back to LL but I really don't want to loose another 3 stone and I felt that the conselling had done a brilliant job on me.
I don't know what your history of dieting is but I would suggest that you talk to you LLC about your decision.
I'm just learning about SW (only joined last night) but so far it does seem quite a lot to get my head around (especially after the simplicity of LL). Of course I can't speak yet for the effectiveness but I am certainly full on my first green day.
    Lx

    hi
as a lifelong weight watcher I really found slimming world hard to understand for the first week or so,i took time to read the books but thought I would never understand it or be able to think of what to cook etc, however 4 weeks in I am so glad I stuck it out, as once you get your head round it ,it is really simple to follow ,I only cook one meal for a family of 6 and so far nobody has complained about what they eat.
compaed to some my weight loss has been slow but I see it that I have lost each week.

definately give it a go..I would add that 2 weeks ago I followed advice on here and switched classes as I didnt find the original consultant very helpful and what a difference it made.
try the class and hopefuuly you will like the plan and leader but if not I would say give another class a go..in other words give up on that leader not slimming world..

    good luck..xx

Hi thanks, everyone. I think i'll pay the class a visit on Tue and see how I go.

Wicked Witch, I'd like to have stuck to LL to lose another 2 stone but we had a MMC in Jan and the need to have a baby, is much greater now. All we want is a baby!

Thanks again everyone. Will keep you posted.
