I have been a lurker on this site for years but rarely posted. Can't believe how quiet it is! Decided to start posting my diary & hopefully receive some support & also give some motivation to others.

Done loads of diets before but never actually done old fashioned calorie counting & exercise before & surprise surprise it seems to be working. It is my 3rd weigh in tomorrow & I have already lost 5 1/2 pounds. 14 weeks tomorrow I fly to Jamaica, my dream destination, I am determined to be in my lovely size 12 summer clothes.

Menu for today:-
Breakfast - granola & banana
Lunch - parsnip soup, 2 sesame seed ryvitas, cranberry cereal bar & 2 satsumas
Dinner - lasagne & weight watchers yogurt

Been swimming too - done 50 lengths which took about an hour.

I try to stick to 3 good meals a day & no snacking however will have some fruit if needs be. Exercise wise I love swimming, aqua fit or anything in the water. I have spent the last 3 weeks drying my hair or so it seems!

Hi Julia!

Well done on your fab loss so far - think it's safe to say you know what you're doing:D I think it's brilliant that you're incorporating exercise from the get-go because it helps an awful lot, both for losing and maintaining the loss thereafter.

Good luck achieving your goal, and what a lovely one to aim for - a dream holiday to the Caribbean in your size 12 clothes must be great motivation!:D

The class I do today is my absolute favourite! So look forward to it but can't do it properly for laughing. It is done in the deep end of the pool wearing a flotation belt - do lots of running & star jumps etc only problem is I can't stay in one place :D

You really do you like your aquatic exercise - the deep water one sounds like great fun:D

Looks like you're doing really well with your food - is it weigh in tomorrow? If so, good luck!:D

Yes weigh in tomorrow - keeping my fingers crossed.

Today was 1160/1200

Breakfast - granola & banana
Lunch - meal replacement bar, yogurt & apple
Dinner - macaroni cheese & satsuma

Had a really busy week this week. Had a fab weekend which included lots of food, drink & Olly Muirs @ Sheffield! My Christmas present from my other half! Olly was great.

Wasn't looking forward to weigh in this morning but by some miracle I am down 1/2 pound - I will so take this :D

Well done on your loss - the unexpected ones are always the best!:D

I'd like to see Olly in concert, have to say - he's quite the showman, isn't he? Bet you burnt loads of calories dancing and that's why you lost the weight!:D

Yes loved Olly - definitely does know how to entertain!

Food & exercise to plan so far this week - thought I might struggle to get back on it after my weekend off last week but managed easily enough :) could it be that I have finally found the right diet for me o_O
