Too much water?

I think anything up to 4 litres is fine, although I often have a bit more than that (maybe 5 some days) and it hasn't done me any harm - in fact I'm pretty sure it's done me good. I know that a huge amount can be harmful and wash away nutrients but I'm sure 4-5l would be fine.

Hi hun if you look on the LT bag you get each week it says at least 2lts and no more than 4lts x

Hi Hun I drink between four and five litres a day and I'm fine with it. I think as long as it's spread out through the day it's fine just should be downed all in a short period of time sure I read an article about a woman who died cause she had drank so many litres in a short time frame???? Hope I haven't made that up lol:)

No, your right.. a radio station in America had a water drinking competition.. i think the lady who won drank 5 or 6 litres really quickly.. because of this her organs shut down and she died.. i think the radio station was actually charged and sued... i have always thought 4 litres is the maximum anyone should consume in a day... hthsn x

It doesn't say that on my bag - it says a minimum of 2 litres per day (and more if you have mousse or flapjack instead of shakes). That said I'm sure you can have too much but drinking an extra litre or two of water throughout the day would be no where near as dangerous as being as overweight as I was.

It also depends when you drink it - as in spreading it out throughout the day and not knocking 4 pints back in one sitting.
