Not the most ladyike topic to be discussing but I thought that the insane amount of botty burps were due to the increase of fruit and veg, now i'm wondering if it's perhaps the alpen bars? I've read a couple of people say they've had trouser trumpet issues on the alpen bars but wondered how common it actually is?

Very common I'm afraid, the double chocolate ones are the worst. Feel like I'm going to explode with them- literally!

ohh not had this perhaps its an ingredient in the bar itself which is causing the problem. Have a look through and see if anything obvious pops up :D. If all else fails deflatine or a peppermint or chamomile tea should help settle things

The alpen bars are usually the culprit. I've replaced with hifi bars now tbh - bit cheaper and less windy!

ooo that could be it too ... I had some of that for lunch for the first time today. Lethal combination I think. Perhaps next time I'll spare the ozone layer and have either the Alpen bars OR the soup and not both in the same day!!

I think I must have guts of steel! I often eat 12 speed soup and alpen lights and I don't notice any difference in any "trump" issues :-D

    Hello lovie,

I had a bloat issue for the first two weeks while my digestive system adjusted to all of the fruit & veg. Make sure you have fruit on an empty stomach as it sits on top of food and ferments causing trumping and embarrassing moments but if it is eaten on an empty stomach then it just moves along your digestive track without a problem so it's a bit anti-social if you get what I mean :p. I usually have my fruit before my cereal or in between meals and not straight after and find that helps. I tend to use Alpen lights as a dessert when I need to go so I have it with a banana & some low fat ice cream and It usually makes me go by the morning. Hope this helps

    Really?

No problems here, with loads of fresh fruit & veg, Alpen Lights or HIFI bars etc.

Maybe you're not all the Fairer Sex you'd have us believe eh, eh? eh?;)

Same here. I no longer have alpen bars.

They made the most inhuman stench possible - I think my intestines were dying!!

So although they were delicious , they were not worth it at all . I avoid at all costs along with potato skins. And SW chips affect me a little too.

    Kx
