I am 65yrs old been low carb on and off for years,I am trying very hard to get off insulin as it makes it very hard to loose weight I started Atkins Friday lost 3lbs this morning I now weigh 16st very pleased as nothing has worked or ages.I have read loads of posts and got most of the books Induction seems fine to me as I can,t tolerate carbs at all send my numbers sky high,the hard thing for me is giving up the booze it was the only treat I could have but If it helps me loose the weight it will be worth it.Im to old to mess around anymore diabetes is a wicked disease Im 10yrs in but I want to die with my feet on and eyes bright.So bring it on Im ready for anything.I hope.I must say after reading loads of posts this is the most friendly forum ive seen In ages hope to get some good advice and make friends along the way.
