Uh oh, a complete newbie here.......

:wavey: Hi after lurking on this board for a couple of weeks, I have decided to give atkins a go, it seems to be the most suitable way of eating for me. It was either this or CD and I am afraid I just really, really need food:eek:
so anyhoo after a while of reading all your inspirational posts and the yummmmy recipes I thought I would buy the book of ebay, study it and well I am starting tomorrow morning!! I've been shopping and stocked up on chicken, bacon, sausages, eggs and salad (and water too)
Now my first question, Am I right in thinking I can have coffee with cream? please say yes, I also start a new job tomorrow and will need to the coffee to give me a boost for the v early start.

ohh also what do you recommend from the low carb shoppy place, I will be working shifts so would love to have a bit of convenience for snacks occasionally:eek:

coffee and cream is allowed!!! just count the carbs from the cream but it is mega low in carbs!!

ive not bought anything low carb (processed foods) its best to plan foods in advance and even cook the day before if you can, it stops you snacking....pork scratching and crunch and pepperamis are good for snacks :D

cheese, meat, boiled eggs, smoked salmon.....the list could be endless

whats your favourit snacky foods normally?
:eek::eek: Um Chocolate, lots of it! I guess after reading the all of the chapters in the book about obesity and the link with carbs and sugar that is why I am fat:cry: Oh well I will just have lots of chicken and eggs to snack on.............
give it 2 weeks hun and as long as your sticking to atkins you wont even CRAVE chocolate!!!!!!

Hi Empy and welcome, great site, great diet, it really works. My stats dont look good at the moment, but I did maintain for 8 yrs on atkins before slipping, stay with it, this way of eating really does work.
