I wonder if you can help, i have just started my journey with W8 but am wondering how many people have maintained their wait loss afterwards? Luckily i only have about 3 stone to loose so it shouldnt take too long. I am just concerned as everyone says "you will put it all back on if you loose it quickly".

    Was Cambridge, now maintaining
I don't believe the 'lose it quick, gain it quick' phrase, though there is a slight truth in it (just a little).

With a VLCD like W8, and Cambridge which I did, there will be some glycogen regain, which gets sorted when you do the 'coming off' plans. Sorry, don't know what they are on W8.

So, if you did come off suddenly, you could gain a few pounds very quickly. Also on a VLCD the metabolism does slow down a fair bit. The metabolism slows on every diet, but a little more on a VLCD. BUT, again, with the refeed system, it gets sorted, and the metabolism is restored to a level that is suitable for your new size.

After that, you have just as much chance as maintaining after W8 than you have on any other diet.

Maintenance is a 'journey' in itself.

for me anyway, maintenance has nothing to do with the diet I did to get to goal.

    Hope that helps :)
