I know that flavoured water bought isn't allowed. This isn't flavoured water though, it's a water flavouring special for LCD and it doesn't bring you out of ketosis. It's drops which you add yourself, i read it in another thread for people doing the kee diet. I have ordered some but would like to know if anyone else on LT has tried it before i use it, thanks for reply!
I haven't tried it, and I wouldn't. Surely if we were allowed it, you would be able to purchase it from you pharmacist or Lipotrim, rather than someone on Ebay etc trying to make some money? I personally don't think it is worth the risk
You're right, it's not the end of the world, but it could mean an extra week or 2 on TFR (and extra expense)
Another member asked about these flavourings some time ago, and to date, I don't think anyone has tried them. I would be interested in hearing how you get on?
No worries, i will give it go and post to what happens. I didn't mean to sound like i don't care about messing up ketosis cause i do.it's just this is my 2nd time on LT and i know the more things i can have the better i will do so i'm willing to give it go. I can't drink black tea and hate coffee, so it's just water. I remember if i had a break for a special occasion last time i didn't stay out of ketosis for long when i got back on it. Thanks for advice, who knows by time it arrives i may have changed my mind.
Why do LT and then not follow the rules? The rules are very simple so why try to test them? If you can't manage on what we are allowed, try the Cambridge diet which is much more flexible and I think they have water flavourings.
Make up some really strong mint tea and let it cool then keep it in fridge and use "flavour" your water. It lasts up to 3 days and although I hate hot mint tea I love this in my water. I also use it to make my shakes to get "mocha mint" etc.
Well Harriet2, not including your reply, not all replies felt like they were offering help! I only asked for some advice and felt like i was getting my head bitten off, don't worry about it i have learnt my lesson, i won't ask in future!!

I would think if they are available on other diets that work by putting you in ketosis .. it shouldnt be any different on LT . I think that anything that helps you to stick to the diet and not glug down gallons of pepsi ( like i used to !!) is a positive .
I never dared to try any flavourings , but I soo struggle with the water .. I hate the taste and am only just managing to force down 2 litres at the max
I'm sorry if you thought I was being negative. It's your diet and your weight loss - LT is not the law and you are allowed to do what you like, but having decided to start it you should know that the "rules" don't allow water flavourings. I am not being sarcastic or negative by suggesting you try Cambridge. That diet has much more choice than LT and if you find it hard to have so much plain water you might be better off with it. The cost is about the same I think - one of my friends has just started it because she said she couldn't cope with so few food choices. For me (who was addicted to all sorts of terrible foods) I find the lack of opportunity to make bad choices helpful - I guess it depends what your problems with food are. The important thing is to find a diet that works for you once and for all, and that you can stick to until you are the weight you want to be.
determinator- that's exactly what i thought! I read that people vlcd go into ketosis and one thread on minimins said that this particular water flavouring kept you in ketosis, so i thought....give it a go? but maybe ask on here first if anyone else had tried it.:sigh:

Thanks for support western, nice to know i'm not the only one who had the crazy idea of steering away from the rules! As said above if i go ahead with trying them i will post and let you all know if it was a hit or a big no no!
Dunlop73- i appreciate your last post, i am a newbie on here again and really felt rubbish when you wrote that 1st post. I do understand that sticking to LT to the latter is so very important, it took alot of hard work and determination to get rid of the 4st last yr. I can see it has really worked for you too, you look great.
I don't need the flavoured water i was just interested in if it would work for us. TBH too much choice isn't great for me, i tried ww when i first started putting back on the weight but it was too overloaded for me to stick to, simple is best. Again i didn't mean to sound to anyone like i was being cocky and didn't care about coming out of ketosis or not losing the weight because i really do care! LT is the only diet that has really worked for me,that's why i'm back.
So i hope we can move on and forget this now, it really did upset me so i'm glad you replied again.
