Week 1 - Irishtweet Food Diary - Aim 1stone for xmas

    Hey everyone,
    Started today.. properly, been toying around and looking up syns and seeing what ive eaten .. then seeing as i was going above my syns allowance id just say, ah ill start tmrw.. but today was D day and i think ive managed to stay under the syns.. fingers crossed..

    Brekkie:

    Grilled Tomato -s
    Beans -ss
    1 slice brown toast - b
    Grilled Bacon
    Grapefruit - ss

    Lunch:

    Restaurant Spag bol (was more like meat balls in tomato sauce and spa) 7.5
    Shared a choc fudge cake, however, was sneaky and only had 2 small spoonfuls - 3 syns

    Snacks:

    grapes
    banana

    Evening meal:
    Super Noodles - 3.5 syns
    fat free hartleys jelly
    dessert - strawberries - ss
    mullerlight

    Total Syns: 14 (i think)

    also i have to let ye know, im living in a hotel for the next 3 weeks, so i have to make do with kettle meals and as healthy as i can get out :)

    Brekkie - Beans (no toast- saving my b optionfor later) - ss
    Bacon - lean
    grilled tomato
    grapefruit - ss
    Total syns brekikie - 0

    Morning snack - banana, grapes

    Lunch, Subway salad - i think 0 syns, unless that ranch sauce isnt what it says on the tin.. said 0 fat 0 carbs.. i must look it up..

    ill update later on the rest of my food adventure today!

    Hi there Irishtweet!

    Wow, i'd never be able to do any diet whilst living in a hotel - i'm impressed!

    Looks to me as though you're doing alright so far, i'd get very sick of kettle meals though! And so much harder to eat enough to be full without easy access to fresh fruit and veg.

    Tho i have to say.. last night didnt go too well..

    Went to an italian. had a lovely salad for starters..
    and then went downhill.. got a 9" pizza and ate it all myself.
    Toppings included - pizza sauce, grate mozzerella, carmalised onions,pepperoni, goats cheese, basil pesto, and parmasen cheese. Thin based.

    Was yum, but went way over syns im sure..
    so then headed to the cinema and endedup eating lots of little sweets. dunno how many!

    restart today im afraid! :(

    OK back to the hotel and their brekkie

    had 2 slices of lean bacon.. they looked grilled
    had beans, and grilled tomatoes too..
    and half grapefruit.

    think the brekkie was 0 points..
    snack - banana

    lunch is goingto be a struggle. going to a cafe, and i coudlnt find their menus online.. buti ll do me best..



    plan for dinner later is mild curry super noodles at 3.5 syns
    dessert - mullerlight yoghurt with strawberries and grapes


    chat laters... with futher adventures of living in a hotel.. :)

    thanks dreamaholic.. hopefully only another 2 or 3 weeks left here, but i have to start sometime and it will be great practise for when im eating out :)

    ok update..

    lunch,, ended up being a small pork homemade burger, with a tomato based sauce, with 1 mash spud, broccolli, green beans and cheesy cauli.

    im thinkin of using the cheese for my hea and then put 2 syns for the sauce (just incase) 3 for cheesy cauli and 5 for the burger and 2 for teh mash.. im sure thats all my syns for the day..

    with that in mind, off to tesco i went.. i bought grapes, strawberries, raspberries, tin of mushy peas and tin of beans.. ate all and im actually full.. didnt go for the noodles as i dont have any syns left..

    however, i caved in about 30 mins ago, and ate a few sweets that were left over from the cinema last night, so there goes my 100% day.. feck sake.. anyhows, im surewith all those ss foods ive eaten all day i should get a kick start hopefully!! didnt manage get out for a walk or to get any kettlebell workouts done, but tmrws another day :)

    Total syns for the day... way over 15!!

    Aww hun, it must be so so hard having to live in a hotel, there is no way I would be able to stick to plan 100%. It looks like you are doing the best you can though.
    I find that once you have one 100% day you get even more motivated to go 100% the next day and so on.
    How much longer do you have to stay in the hotel for?

    At least 2 weeks.. could stretch to another 3. not sure.. So only a month in total. i shouldnt really moan too much! jUst bad timing for my Weight loss tho.. but sure ill do me best!

    Its in Sligo, in west of Ireland,

    Dreamaholic... ive just had the most awful wk. Havent been following slimming world at all.. and ate all around me! probably didnt help i was so hungover from the wknd it took till yday to be fully recovered!

    So ill start again today.. its just too easy not to follow it when ur out in these resaturants that all they want to serve is oil and fat ladened food, andn when u ask for it without they say they cant do it, so obviously it all comes in a tub and they just serve! argh! rant over..

    I thought i did v well last week, just a few slip ups, and was relaly good with the room meals of noodles and fruit, but hey ho.. i lost nothing!!
