Step 1 Sole Source Week 1

    Hi everyone

    I am almost at the end of my first week on Sole Source - weigh in tomorrow!

    I don't think I could have picked a worse week to start! Bank Holiday weekend!!!!!!

    All that my friends have wanted to do is eat and drink! Going out clubbing sober and drinking slimline tonic trying to convince myself that it's a G&T has been very hard! And the constant 'go on, one drink wont hurt' has been driving me mad but luckily I have willpower!!!

    I have 9 weeks until I go travelling to Thailand so I am hoping to stick to the diet up until I go and fingers crossed I will get some good results!

    When I got weighed last week at my first consultation I was mortified! I weighed 14st 2.5lbs! I was shocked but it was the kick up the bum I needed! I lost 5st a few years back through exercise and slimming world and I felt fantastic but since meeting my boyfriend 2 years ago (who is a chef!!) almost 3st has piled back on!

    How is everyone finding the plan? also I know exercising on SS is not recommended, but what about gentle exercise such as sit ups, small weights for toning arms etc?

    Once you've been on ss for a week or so you can def start doing gentle exercise. I'm on step 2 (810calories) and I run and do circuit classes and swim. Just take it easy at first and stop if you're dizzy.

    I was weighed today and I asked my consultant if I can exercise on ss but he said no. His partner , also a consultant, said that walking is the only thing I can do. I think step 2 and up can do light exercise though.

    Hey girl we'll dine so far I'm starting tomorrow on the run up to my holiday x my consultant suggested walking to start with and gradually building it up!!!!

    Hi everyone

    Thanks for your comments, I think I will start gentle exercise and build it up :)

    Just had my first weigh in and I've lost 10.5 lbs :D!! very pleased and the hard work over bank holiday has paid off!

    Hey we'll done xxx I'm on my second day and finding it so hard to give up my coffee with sugar!!!!! It's real hard x

    Wow that's an amazing loss!

    I just found that giving up coffee altogether was a better option, I'm knackered but peppermint tea is a nice replacement

    Peppermint tea is lush! I have it all the time now.
    And it beats coffee as being cleaner
