    Why do so many of us suffer on the weekends?

    I think its down to the fact that people used to work mon-fri and fri-sun was the fun days of the week when everyone partied and ate lots and just thoroughly enjoyed themselves before going back to work on monday morning

    I struggle with weekends as that's when the other half is home.... During the week it's easy to eat seperatly but at the weekend we spend every minute together, he doesnt want my diet food and it's so easy on a Saturday night to pick up the phone and order in or go out for dinner! Plus when your not at work the next day the wine and cider tempt you into a drunken stooper!!

    deffo because, compared to the weekdays, there's no structure or routine to the weekends. If you are hungry, u grab something to eat or drink. I have been suffering terrible at the weekends latley:(

    There are no fridges or cupboards full of food at work!!!! :D

    When I am at home there is always lovely things in the fridge and cupboard as my boyfriend is on Slimming World so I always keep stocked up!!

    Weekends are time to relax and you cant do that without a nice glass of wine to take away the working week stress!!! :p(excuses excuses I know)

    weekends are the worst days of the week for slimmers!!! my boyf has different days off each week and sometimes works weekends so we dont always get the same days off, so when he is off at the weekend we always do something or go somewhere or go out to eat so its sooooooo hard!to sit with a shake when hes having eggs on toast for breaky and something yummy for lunch :( grrrrr!

    I love the weekends!
    I am so much more active and busy that I have no time to cheat lol

    I find during the week I keep a sche When my 2 year old gets up I drink my shake then every 2 hours after that Im eating my snack a shake or dinner. On the weekends i find the first thing that gets me off track is that I sleep in cause the husband watches the kids so then Im getting outta bed around 11 instead of 8 and its a downward sprial from there.

    Weekends ensure that I have to work extra hard over the following week, that's for sure. I'm positive if I stopped drinking then I'd have lost far more. Drink usually, for me, equals bad food too so the problem is two-fold.

    im a bit like yourself alex, i enjoy my drink and some weekends are more alcohol fuelled than food fuelled a total nightmare but i do try not to eat to much junk or crap at weekends despite the drink,,,,,,,,, can i ask what your tipple is

    I'm a Jack Daniels drinker and it doesn't taste right if it's not with regular coke and thats a bit of a problem for me. I'm so close to my original target but I find I'm about 4/5lbs heavier on a Sunday than I am on a Friday morning prior to going out and overindulging again.

    Part of the problem for me increased confidence and the want to socialise a bit more. I am therefore out and about a lot more, wanting people to see me and the loss of weight.

    It's going to take quite a bit of effort to shift this last 5 or 6lbs without modifying my habits back to the 'old me' when I was addicted to losing weight.

    I think it's also true that your body shuts down most other activities when it is working to remove alcohol (poison) from your body, so when you're asleep after a session/morning after then your body is so busy repairing the damage that there's not much burning of fat going on there.

    Im a lager lout always have been and always will plus i like my shots dont tend to drink spirits tho, i know lagers the worst thing in the world when dieting but what can you do.
    Alex thats a fantastic weight loss you've had well done and in such a short time aswell.

    I like red wine when I am drinking at home and if I am out in a pub I stick to Vodka and Diet Coke usually.

    I do like cider but find that it gives me bad indegestion!! Must be the bubbles!!! :D

    If I have a drink then I dont feel too guilty, its after the first glass of wine when I want to get the crackers and cheese out!!

    Sounds like a great plan!!! Although I usually am asleep alot the next day if I have had too much red wine and cheese the night before.... hee hee! :D

    i wish i could sarah but the pets demand attention even if the kids dont lol,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i guess the majority of us are just a bunch of alkies at weekends lol roll on the weekend pmsl
