Weekly weigh in v Gym

I'm supposed to have my weigh in today, but ive booked to go to the gym instead. I'm currently a self employed home worker, so money is a little tight. I can't help but think that the cost of weekly weigh ins per month is nearly the same as a gym membership, which surely would be more beneficial? I know the weigh in is all about support, and in many ways competition, which drives you, but i could spend the time and the money on the treadmill! Plus, i have free time most afternoons, which i would quite happily spend in the gym, or doing a class. I have electronic scales at home, which i can use once a week to keep a check on me. I also have a food diary on here, which has already highlighted my problem areas. Any thoughts?

It's different for us all. What suits one , doesn't suit another.

I do it at home because we don't have slimming world here and so far have been fine especially with the support I get on here.

Most of us are feeling the pinch financially at present and I think you have to spend your money where you think it is going to do you the most good.

It depends too on whether you are strong enough to do it on your own. But of course you are not alone , you have us.
