Weight training/toning on VLCD

I'm on the Cambridge diet which restricts my calorie intake to around 450 calories.

Having done this for a while now and down to my last three stones, I really need to tone up.

So I've hired a personal trainer to help me tone up so we are doing weights training. He has restricted me to protein and veg only.

But I really want to stick to my Cambridge diet to try and lose at least 1.5 by the end of aug.

Has anyone ever done weight training on a VLCD?

Should I stick to his plan or not?

I'm really sceptical if I can reach my goal on his diet and anyone experience/opinion is appreciated.

Eating 450 cals a day and weight training is probably the worst thing you could do
 
Sounds medically unsafe. Check with your GP if in doubt.
 
you need more calories if you are going to start using weights and doing more exercise.
