Afternoon everyone, I hope that there is someone willing to listen to a dab hand at being a fallen angel - this must be my millionth restart and I am even going to a psychologist to try and combat my fears, worries and concerns about me, myself and I :wave_cry:

My psychologist believes that losing weight is not the problem, it will come and very easily (as I proved last year losing 4 and a half stone), as a result of tackling and conquering my self-esteem issues.

I need people to help support me pleeeease, I don't want to put all the weight back on and prove my dad right

    Thank you guys

    RAB!

With me the struggle always peaked. crashed and burned on Day Six or Seven. After the first glorious four weeks of SS-ing I began to slip and slip again. I went back to calorie counting in the end, but as we all know, VLCDs work if you stick to the rules...

    Good luck!

I've had more restarts than I care to remember. Did SS CD in 2005 and lost 4stone in 4months easily. then put 3 of them back on over the last 2yrs. Messed about losing 1/2stone, gaining 1/2stone and generally demoralising myself.

A few weeks agao I decided enough was enough!! Was upset at photos of myself, embarrassed to meet new clients, unable to get in my clothes etc ... So I did a weekend of Atkins - loads of steak, bacon, fish, chicken with salad or veg. Monday morning i got up was in ketosis and could not face any food and went straight onto shakes. I've 790-ed ever since, including a holiday to Lanzarote where i actually lost 2lb (and that included shakes/fish or chicken meals ... and a few glasses of alcohol every night!!) I'm off again next week and plan to take shakes with me, and 790meal in the evening - plus a few glasses of wine.

Thank you sooo much for your replies, haven't got on here last couple of days as I have been without access...
It is soooo frustrating, as I know I can do it, I have just seen a photo of me that was taken on Saturday night and I feel awful  I am getting weighed after work and could probably not feel any worse.
Flirty, you are sooo right and I managed to do a couple of days doing 790 and found it relatively easy, but then my mates twisted my arm into drinking on Saturday so not too sure how I deal with it now....wouldn't have a clue how to do Atkins, I think you may be on to something there tho as eating cheese and stuff for breakfast prob would make me not want to eat food too! I go to Spain (my dads villa) in 5 weeks and am intending on taking my packs with me and doing 790 over there...5 weeks realistically I could shift at least 1 stone, just need that bit of help to get me there, I can see you ladies are going to be VERY good to me and I reeeeally appreciate it....think I may cry again

Thank you again and look forward to any replies :)

Cat if you keep trying and failing why don't you try a less restrictive diet? I know I would never get on with CD or LL as I would want everything I'm not allowed and would eventually just completely fall off the wagon. When I joined SW I was amazed by how much I could eat and that nothing was off limits. I have lost 52 lb and hope to lose loads more. Maybe you are failing as this is not the right diet for you x

Thank you for your reply Taz, it is more to do with my head than anything else, I have tried and failed with WW, SW, Calorie counting and as much as I would like to say I would love to go back to SW, the thought is a bit overwhelming. I did try to go back to it in the last couple of years, but CD takes the problem child out of the equation and when my 'light switch' goes on in my head, it is easy. I have never stopped trying, so I am not 'failing' as you rightfully apologised for using, alot of people just give up totally. I am always getting through the days, it is the lonely times in the evenings that I struggle with and get VERY upset during. If I am occupied, nothing can get into my head....might try my cross stitch again hahaha

Thank you again for your reply Taz and WELL DONE for your loss you loser haha

    Love

hi cat we all know there is no magic cure all diets work when we stick to them!! but aint that the killer! the one thing 'naturally' skinny people (and my husband) just dont get! when food rules you it rules you, and coming from a serial diet/binger i really understand. I have just started back on all about w8 (3rd restart since christmas)im doing 3 weeks fast track (ss) with the intention of getting a stone off by my birthday (21st april) if I get there then that only leaves me another 9lbs to goal which I hope I can get off by whitsun when im off on my hols. I have recently started up this year as a w8 consultant and some of my clients have been so successful that Im inspired to get back on again gotta practice what i preach!! feel really ready this time and not looking back til I get there good luck on your journey too everyone on here understands cos we've all been ther/are there!!

    Hi Tatty
all about w8 (previosly weight-matters) is a vlcd which allows you to incorporate food if you wish. the principles are the same as cambrdge and LL but there is a lot of flexibility in the programmes. The key differences are that you dont need to be 3 stone over weight to start just have a bmi of over 25 and it can be done online with mealpacks posted out to you. check out www.allaboutw8/coventry for details xx

Holy cow thank you sooooo much for replying - made the decision to stay in the office now at lunch....too much like an easy choice to give in to this ridiculous addiction to junk....!

Think I may write my list here.....
    1. To be able to wear anything and be able to share clothes with my mates...
    2. To be comfortable in my own skin and not feel like my skin is about to burst when I sit down (niiiice - not!)
    3. To not feel back fat - noticing it more and more when I sit in my car...
    4. To be proud of myself again :D

If I think of any others I will add them another time....my pics of when I was slimmer are already up in my kitchen, I just don't look at them :sigh:
