Had quite a shock this week when my mum had a heart attack and its set me to thinking about my own health. Hers was due to high cholestrol/high BP and wanted to know if anyone is following SW who has had a heart attack/ high B/P and Cholestrol? If so has it improved your symptoms?

I am thinking of going to the GP and asking for my B/P and Cholestrol to be checked and wondered if anyone has asked their surgery if they do well women clinics? I'm over 45 so can you just ask for a check up?

your gp should be more than happy to give you a general check and get some bloodwork done (cholestrol etc) x

Sorry to hear about your mum.

There are loads of people in my group who have had cholesterol/BP/diabetic medication reduced and some even stopped completely as a result of SW. In my opinion far more impressive than weight loss!
