Big Bear, I could add to the previous lists of kids mishaps that my son had when he was tiny, including splitting his head open in the Hospitals A&E whilst waiting to have the stitches out from a previous accident, I could but won't because deep down you know that there is no blame attached to you and so does you OH.
He is, unfairly letting of steam because of his own concern and unfortunately you are in the direct line of fire.
I am glad he has apologised because he should and over again.
Personally I would have a quiet, calm talk with him about his behavior towards you and tell him it is not acceptable and you don't expect it to happen again. It can be done without anymore bad feeling or unpleasantness.
He is probably feeling a real heel now he has calmed down and got over the shock of what happened.
Big, big hugs to you, no one said being a mum would be easy but there are times when you wish you could wave a magic wand to make it so.
