What do you do to stop eating?

What does everybody do to stop themselves from eating? I have had my dinner, enjoyed it and am no longer hungry. Why is it then that I still want to eat?

I think part of it is relaxing my food intake over Christmas and my body has got used to it and is trying to get me to shovel more in.

I have tried all the my usual things when I get like this but would welcome any other suggestions.

The things I do are:

1. Have a bath with bubbles.
2. Exfoliate face and put mask on.
3. Brush teeth and use mouthwash.
4. Paint nails.

I've done first 3 and I'm about to do 4 now, at least if I've wet nails I can't go through the fridge.

Any more ideas please?

One thing I do when I want to carry on eating is brush my tea or have some chewing gum. The minty taste seems to put me off food.
