I read online ages ago how WW works out their points system and I wondered how SW works out theres?

What makes a syn? How is it calculated? The same for HE's?

A syn is approx. 20 calories and IIRC, a healthy extra is about 6 or 6.5 syns.

iv been told its around 20 cals to 1syn, but this is not always right, iv been caught out many a time..

part of the reason slimming world has been so successful in the business sense is that it doesn't make this information public, meaning that to keep up to date on syns in new products you must keep attending or paying for membership to gain access to the up to date and relevant info. Guessing syns is a dangerous game
