What oils should I use to fry things?

    Guys I was just wondering whether olive oil is ok for frying because that is what I have been using so far- is there a better alternative?

    i use olive oil extra virgin its got added benefits so they say but not for wok cooking

    i use extra virgin olive oil. but for frying i use butter

    i put a small bit of butter in the frying pan for things like, bacon. sausages, eggs. i find it works much better than oils and gives the food a nicer taste

    i use a good non stick pan no real need for the oil if cooking bacon or sausage some fat always comes out to cook a egg.

    the butter does go against your carb count

    I never got to fussed about butter , but if your not losing then you do need to be very careful Coco.

    so shall I keep using olive oil Jim? is there a difference between the normal olive oil and the extra virgin when used in cooking?

    I wouldn't use EVOO for cooking Coco apart from the fact it's a waste it has a low smoke point. I'd stick to Normal OO love.
