Hello!

I have now bout some figs, they looked so lovely in the shop, but I haven't a clue what to do with them!

Eat them raw? Bake them? Anyone got any yummy ideas?

Thank you!

I love them baked. Cut a cross in the top and give them a little squeeze to open them up. Drizzle with a little honey and bake for about 10 mins on 180. Lovely topped with some sweetened 0% greek yoghurt!!

just as mel2 said, lovely baked with some honey...maybe some cinnamon and greek yogurt. yum

Cut the stalk bit off the top, but the rest (skin and flesh) is edible raw or cooked.

I have is as per above, quartered with 0% greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey, but don't bother cooking them

Oh i adore figs.

One of my favourite homemade starters is:

Figs (quartered)
tiny sprigs of rosemary
slices of Parma ham

Wrap the quartered figs and a tiny sprig of rosemary with the parma ham and then place on a baking tray in the oven for about 5-10 mins.

Gorgeous!

You do not need much parma ham at all, and as you know its wafer thin.

I would imagine that you have to syn them when cooked but don't know for sure.
I do like them stuffed with goats cheese, wrapped in parma ham, baked then drizzled with reduced raspberry vinegar too. Yummy!
