I love them baked. Cut a cross in the top and give them a little squeeze to open them up. Drizzle with a little honey and bake for about 10 mins on 180. Lovely topped with some sweetened 0% greek yoghurt!!

Cut the stalk bit off the top, but the rest (skin and flesh) is edible raw or cooked.

I have is as per above, quartered with 0% greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey, but don't bother cooking them

Oh i adore figs.

One of my favourite homemade starters is:

Figs (quartered)
tiny sprigs of rosemary
slices of Parma ham

Wrap the quartered figs and a tiny sprig of rosemary with the parma ham and then place on a baking tray in the oven for about 5-10 mins.

Gorgeous!

You do not need much parma ham at all, and as you know its wafer thin.

I would imagine that you have to syn them when cooked but don't know for sure.
I do like them stuffed with goats cheese, wrapped in parma ham, baked then drizzled with reduced raspberry vinegar too. Yummy!
