......Can i manage to be 100% committed sunday to thursday but when friday and saturday hit i get some crazy weekend fever and totally fall off the wagon?!
My Beck book arrived on sat so i'm hoping he has some answers.
I have really fluffed up and feel i have totally ruined five days of good work.
I can't ever see a day when a VLCD isn't part of maintaining my weight/helping me to lose weight......am my own worst enemy.

Aww hun don't beat yourself up over it, we all have weaknesses every now & again - at least you know what yours is so you can try overcome it!

You're doing so well with your losses too :clap: just keep up the hard work!

P .S what's a beck book!?

Thanks lauryn, just feeling a little disheartened.
I will never give up but this weight loss journey (change of lifestyle....well trying!) but it isn't as straightforward as i'd hoped....but then again i am human and also trying to live a life.

I think you'd have to be a robot or the most amazingly strong willed person in the universe never to slip up!! I am neither!!
Beck is a diet guru that everyone raves about on here. Haven't started it yet but i think the aim of the book is to retrain your mind, thought processes so that you think like a thin person.
Am hoping it will help me focus more on my mammouth bloody task!!

I am neither of those things either :D but we'll both get there in the end (whenever that may be!).

Oooh I haven't heard about this guru person, shall have to google him and buy the book myself! x

Judith S. Beck, PhD.

It's very interesting and helps to sort out the way you think about food and so on. I'd recommend it to everyone to read.

You're not on your own, I have just done a full weekend of my daughter's 8th sleepover party, making and icing cakes, eating popcorn (I am sure that kicked me out of ketosis), tried to be good and I was, but some of the icing accidently 'fell' into my mouth. We are all human, but the truth is that I often turn to food to celebrate, congratulate myself, relax, etc at the weekend and need to find something else to replace it!! Oh well, nothing tastes as good as slimmer feels as they say. Keep going and best of luck.
