Wii Fit & "Gaming Exercise" Challenge - January 2011

Hel10683, yes there are 3 flags on the beach on expert cycling. If want help finding the "hard to find" flags, you could scroll back a couple of days and see my posts to JudiMac who requested help.

I get really tired on super hula hoop too. I have no problem doing endless repititions of the advanced step, but the super hula hoop makes me exhausted.

MrsDavis. How are you enjoying The Biggest Loser Challenge. I really worked up a sweat. It also weighed me 4lbs more than wii fit plus, and I did it immediately after my wii fit body test.:(

I chose Bob as my trainer, and we did the routine on a mat in a boxing ring in what looked like an old style gym. Talk about authentic, he also had sweat stains in his armpits. Eek. A bit offputting first thing in the morning.

If Jill does the exercises by the pool, I might change to her. I fancy some Californian sunshine on a dreary British winter day.

BTW, my avatar on Biggest Loser is huge. That's the main reason I didn't choose skinny minny Jill as my trainer. :ashamed0005:
 
Thanks Julie - I've been and looked at your tips. I don't think that the issue was not finding them so much as that I'd gone right to the top of the volcano and then spent ages getting back down only to fall off something and end up back at the top of the volcano. At that point I decided I'd had enough (plus was up to an hour of wiifit for the session). I'll give it another go tomorrow and this time aim to get them all however long it takes.
 
Reading these posts has really motivated me to get back on the Wii and do some more Wii Fit, thanks guys/gals :)

Had my first 30 min workout on The Biggest Loser Challenge. It was more exhausting than 1½ hours stepping, cycling and jogging on wii fit plus!

i'm going to give biggest looser a go tomorrow... not sure it has me down for a workout till Monday though as opted for 3 workouts... The one i did directly after setting up my avatar was in a gym... where all the fitness machines are....What setting do you have yours on hun? Thats strange mine actually weighed me less than wii fit... but i'm noway going by my wii fit weight anyway...

I joined group on Thursday eve ready for after i've had this baby... extra motivation and all that... and was absolutely gutted the scales weighed me 8lb heavier than i though... Boooo but hey nevermind...!!

Regards to the cycling... took me like 51 mins to complete it on expert... really hurts my back... think thats bad posture though!!

Intrigued also as to what people get spin wise on the hula hooping... maybe i'm not spinning enough to get so tired?

Hey Mrs Davis wow you're doing so well!! Congratulations on your pregnancy!! You're so good doing this while pregnant I'd use any excuse lol!!
I can't remember anything about the biggest loser it's been ages since I did it lol! But i'm gonna make myself (find it!!) then try it again tomo i'll probably get shouted at for not being on it lol!!
The hula is hard on wii fit I find it difficult and it annoys me when they throw the hoops slows me down!! ha ha !! Saw you're an Olly fan!!my best friend is too!! she's crazy for him!! Mwah Maz Xx : )
 
Huge Olly fan :D Hehe... got tickets as crimbo prezzy and travelling back from Germany especially to see the gorgeous man... Just hoping to have lsot alot of my baby weight by then but we shall see!!

Ekk I haven't found the game yet!! But i'm sure it's there somewhere!! I found My Fitness Coach forgot I had that too think that was worse than biggest loser tho lol!!!

I've opted for four x 30min moderate Biggest Loser workouts a week. That's hard enough for me, so I won't be trying My Fitness Coach. I am still doing wii fit plus each day because that is (mostly) fun. On the hula hooping I get around 280-300 for the short hula. I can't remember what I get on hula super as I haven't done it for a few days. The only way I can catch the hoops is to lean to the side but stop swinging my hips. I know I lose momentum and it affects the number of spins but I can't catch them otherwise. I'm also much better and faster spinning clockwise than anti-clockwise for some reason. :confused:

While you are pregnant you probably shouldn't be trying to go for maximum spins, but for a slower steady pace. It will be a nice rocking motion for the baby.

I realised why I probably weighed more on My Biggest Loser. I don't think it took into account the weight of my clothes. I had thick fleece sweats plus trainers and sports socks on and I opted for the "-4lb heavy" on wii fit, so that might explain it. I weigh myself the same time every day while I'm getting the breakfast ready.

I find wii fit plus much more fun but I know the Biggest Loser is probably better for toning me up and shifting the weight.

I do the 3 minute one on the super hula hoop (I think it's advanced level) I do about 750 ish spins. I agree with Julie about slow steady spins being better for you. I can't believe that you're still doing more exercise than me whilst very pregnant and looking after a baby. You've definitely got a lot of motivation.
 
I had 2 days off as really feeling grotty. Just done 15 mins on moderate on TBL. Not sure I could last 30 :eek:. I've ditched the board and found it alot easier as regards my co-ordination. I have Bob but it's outside. If he says "Like a yoga master" again I'll scream!
Then I did 10 mins on a run round the island and I'm whacked!

I have the Wii fit....and am a newbie to the forum....how do I join and update the list? When does it run until...is it the 1st Feb? I'd like to set the challenge of doing 10 hours before the end of the month! Hoping this may motivate me! (Sorry for all the questions!)xx
